Purpose: To map the literature on blood concentrates for managing postoperative sequelae after third molar extraction through a scoping review.
Methods: MedLine, Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature, Scientific Electronic Library Online, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, Scopus, and Web of Science were the search databases. MedRxiv and EASY provided the grey literature.
This umbrella review evaluated systematic reviews in clinical studies on pulp revascularisation in permanent mature necrotic teeth to determine their effectiveness in treating or preventing apical periodontitis. Seven of 294 articles retrieved from PubMed, LILACS, SciELO, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science, Cochrane and DANS Easy databases were included. The most used pulp revascularisation techniques were blood clots associated or not with platelet-poor plasma and umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells.

Materials And Methods: An electronic search in the PubMed (MEDLINE), LILACS, SciELO, EMBASE, Scopus, Web of Science, Cochrane Reviews, and Data Archiving and Networked Services (DANS) databases retrieved 17 systematic reviews. The study included only systematic reviews of clinical trials with or without meta-analyses evaluating effectiveness of medications in reducing pain after non-surgical endodontic treatment.
