Alexithymia in Parkinson's Disease: A Meta-analysis.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by motor and non-motor manifestations, including alexithymia. This condition is defined by difficulty in recognizing, articulating, and expressing one's emotional states. In this study, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to compare the prevalence of alexithymia in PD patients and a healthy population, and to identify associated demographic and clinical factors.

A Nomogram for Predicting ADHD and ASD in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).

To enhance the early detection of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) by leveraging clinical variables collected at child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS). This study included children diagnosed with ADHD and/or ASD ( = 857). Three logistic regression models were developed to predict the presence of ADHD, its subtypes, and ASD.

Social Cognition and Mild Cognitive Impairment in Mid-Stage Parkinson's Disease.

Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is a relevant non-motor feature in Parkinson's disease (PD). Social cognition (SC) is a cognitive domain that refers to the ability to decode others' intentions and to guide behavior in social contexts. We aimed to compare SC performance in mid-stage PD patients compared to a healthy population and according to their cognitive state.

Depression as a Risk Factor for Dementia: A Meta-Analysis.

Dementia is a syndrome characterized by the deterioration of cognitive function beyond what is expected. The increased risk of developing this syndrome resulting from established modifiable risk factors, such as depressive episodes, is currently a subject of interest. The aim of this study was to review the scientific evidence that addresses the relationship between depression and dementia.
