Background & Aims: Compensated advanced chronic liver disease (cACLD) encompasses advanced fibrosis and cirrhosis in asymptomatic patients at risk of developing clinically significant portal hypertension. Patients having cACLD are at high risk of decompensation and liver-related mortality and hence require further evaluation. Due to limited epidemiologic data on cACLD, we aimed to assess its prevalence in the United States (U.

Background: There is evidence of overlap between autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) and primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), two autoimmune hepatobiliary diseases. This retrospective analysis aimed to investigate extra-hepatic auto-immune diseases and compare outcomes of hospitalized patients with AIH-PBC overlap with AIH and PBC. We hypothesize that there are differences in rates of major adverse liver outcomes (MALO's) when comparing these groups.

Surgical intervention may become necessary for symptom management if conservative measures fail, although it carries a significant risk of postoperative morbidity. Endoscopic ultrasound-guided enterocolostomy is an emerging alternative for palliative management of MSBO when other surgical or endoscopic interventions are not feasible or have failed.

This study compares waitlist and post-LT outcomes in patients with MASLD/AIH to MASLD and AIH alone.
Methods: Using the united network organ sharing database (2002-2022), we compared waitlist outcomes and post-LT survival among patients with MASLD/AIH (n = 282), AIH (n = 5812), and MASLD (n = 33 331).
Fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma (FLHCC) is a rare and distinct subtype of liver cancer, predominantly affecting younger patients without underlying liver diseases. This case report discusses a unique presentation of FLHCC in a 38-year-old male with a past medical history of a well-controlled seizure disorder. The patient presented with nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain following a fatty meal.

Data from Asian countries suggest that these tests have poor performance. We aimed to assess diagnostic accuracy of established thresholds of biomarker-based NITs and Transient Elastography (TE) in identifying AF and evaluated the utility of a two-step test approach.
