Background: The production of tropane alkaloids such as atropine and scopolamine by chemical methods is costly. This study aimed to find a more efficient method for producing tropane alkaloids by investigating different LED light qualities and glycine treatment using leaf callus cultures of Hyoscyamus niger L. in vitro.

Background: Potato virus Y (PVY) is among the economically most damaging viral pathogen in production of potato (Solanum tuberosum) worldwide. The gene Ry derived from the wild potato relative Solanum stoloniferum confers extreme resistance to PVY.

The production and release of nanoparticles and their impacts on living organisms are among the most important concerns in the world. Spirulina platensis was chosen because of its ability to absorb more elements than other algae.
