Background: Despite the benefits of cardiac rehabilitation (CR), women are under-represented, especially in lower-income settings. Technology may be leveraged to tailor CR to better engage women, but this has never been tested in a middle-income country. This study assessed the implementability, usability, engagement, and acceptability of Technology-bAsed Cardiac rehabilitation Therapy (TaCT) in women with cardiovascular disease (CVD) in a middle-income country.

Nitric oxide (NO) is one of the crucial biological signaling molecules, yet achieving its selective and spatiotemporal detection in in-situ/invitro or biological systems at specific pH remains a significant challenge. Hence, a probe capable of directly detecting NO would be immensely valuable in understanding its reactivity and biological functions. Here, to develop a Cu(II)-based probe for selective NO detection, we synthesized a Cu(II)-complex (1) using a N3-tridentate ligand having a pendant dansyl fluorophore (L) and evaluated it's NO reactivity under varying pH conditions.

Background: The clinical impact of rare epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) exon 19 insertion-deletion (19delins) variants on tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) efficacy remains poorly characterized. We updated 5-year outcomes to evaluate long-term survival and optimal treatment strategies in advanced lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) patients harboring these mutations.

Materials And Methods: In this multicenter prospective study, 36 treatment-naive advanced LUAD patients with EGFR 19delins mutations received first-generation (n = 26) or third-generation TKIs (n = 10).

Aluminum nanoparticles (Al NPs) were synthesized via catalyzed thermal reduction of an aluminum precursor in the presence of a capping ligand. A systematic study was conducted to examine the effect of dilution on nanoparticle synthesis by varying the volume of anhydrous toluene across four dilution factors while maintaining constant molar quantities of the aluminum precursor, catalyst, and ligand. This methodology is relevant for scale-up processes, where more dilute conditions can mitigate nanoparticle reactivity and enhance safety.

Introduction: Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) is characterized by the formation of fluid filled cysts, progressive fibrosis and chronic inflammation, often leading to kidney failure. Renal fibrosis in ADPKD is primarily driven by myofibroblast activation and excessive extracellular matrix (ECM) accumulation, which contribute to disease progression. Here we investigated the therapeutic potential of pirfenidone, an antifibrotic drug, on myofibroblast activity, ECM production, and ADPKD progression.
