Article Synopsis
  • - Circumcision is vital for male health, but traditional methods have issues like long surgery times, bleeding, and slow healing. This study examines a new approach using biological welding technology for circumcision.
  • - The study involved 24 male adult dogs, comparing a biological welding method to traditional cut-and-suture circumcision, focusing on factors like surgery time, blood loss, and recovery.
  • - Results showed that the biological welding method was significantly faster, resulted in no bleeding, and led to quicker recovery times with fewer complications, indicating it could be a safe and effective option for circumcision.

Objective: To search for an optimal strategy for the treatment of penile and scrotal gangrene by analyzing the clinical effect of vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) as an adjuvant treatment on this disease.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data about 4 cases of penile and scrotal gangrene treated by VSD as an adjuvant treatment from January 2015 to June 2016. The 4 patients all underwent early extensive and radical debridement of gangrene of the scrotum and penis and received intravenous injection of two broad-spectrum antibiotics, followed by VSD for wound drainage and irrigation.

In the title complex, [Cd(C(15)H(11)N(5)O(8))(H(2)O)(2)]·2C(3)H(7)NO, the Cd(II) ion is located on a twofold rotation axis and is seven-coordinated in a distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal manner. The asymmetric unit comprises one metal ion, one doubly deprotonated N,N'-bis-(3-carboxy-prop-2-eno-yl)pyridine-2,6-dicarbohydrazide ligand, two coordinating water mol-ecules and two dimethyl-formamide solvent mol-ecules. In the crystal, a two-dimensional network is formed through N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.

In the title complex, [Fe(C(11)H(10)N(5)O(4))(CH(3)O)(C(5)H(5)N)]·CH(4)O, the Fe(III) ion has a distorted penta-gonal-bipyramidal geometry. In the crystal structure, mol-ecules are linked into one-dimensional chains along [1] via inter-molecular O-H⋯O and N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds.
