Bornite CuFeSSe (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.6) compounds have been synthesized, using mechanical alloying, combined with spark plasma sintering (SPS). High temperature in situ neutron powder diffraction data collected on pristine CuFeS from room temperature up to 673 K show that SPS enables the stabilization of the intermediate cubic (IC) semi-ordered form (Fm3[combining macron]m, a ∼ 10.

Conservation plans to revive these declining wild populations are hindered by unstable taxonomy. Molecular phylogeny studies with mitochondrial genome have been successfully used to reconstruct the phylogenetic tree and to resolve taxonomic ambiguity.

The ring source, generated using a refracting axicon, is projected onto a rotating diffuser to reduce the spatial coherence noise generated by the spatially coherent He-Ne laser and to enhance the interference fringe contrast. PPSI is applied to extract the phase [and hence the optical path difference (OPD)] from the interference fringes formed by a Fizeau cavity using the ring source.

The giant river catfish Sperata seenghala has huge demand in South Asian countries due to its low number of intramuscular bones and nutritive value. However, the culture practises for this fish have not been standardized and the current demand for this fish is being met by capture fisheries only. Unregulated and indiscriminate fishing would lead overexploitation of fish stocks subsequently stock depletion.

Researchers, however, are still struggling to establish an embryological basis for this interesting causal handcuff. The present study reveals robust evidence in favor of a plausible ZIKV-microcephaly cause-effect liaison.

The condition is diagnosed as immature paramphistomosis on the basis of symptoms, dung sample examination and necropsy findings. The infected sheep exhibited symptoms like persistent foetid, blackish diarrhoea, sub maxillary edema, dehydration and death.

A series of 1,4-disubstituted-1,2,3-triazoles conjugates were synthesized through diastereo selective Michael addition followed by regioselective Huisgen 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions. All these triazolyl derivatives (5a-5j) & (7a-7j) were well characterized using modern spectroscopic techniques and evaluated for their anticancer activity against a panel of five human cancerous celllines.

Present study reports full-length cDNA sequence of Sox9a gene and partial coding sequence (cds) of Sox9b (two duplicate orthologs of Sox9 gene) from Clarias batrachus. The coding region of Sox9a gene encoded a peptide of 460 amino acids.

The development of artificial ion channels that can mimic the fundamental functions of the natural ones would be of great importance to biological research. Artificial ion channels based on nucleoside derivatives are expected to be biocompatible with functions that can be controlled by the presence or absence of biologically relevant molecules.

Plants mediate interactions between aboveground and belowground herbivores. Although effects of root herbivory on foliar herbivores have been documented in several plant species, interactions between tuber-feeding herbivores and foliar herbivores are rarely investigated. We report that localized tuber damage by Tecia solanivora (Guatemalan tuber moth) larvae reduced aboveground Spodoptera exigua (beet armyworm) and Spodoptera frugiperda (fall armyworm) performance on Solanum tuberosum (potato).

In the present study, eight monogeneans of the order Mazocraeidea were characterized by nuclear 28S rDNA sequences and their phylogenetic relationship with other polyopisthocotylean species was investigated. Neighbour-joining, maximum parsimony, maximum likelihood and Bayesian Inference methods were used for phylogenetic reconstruction.

Birinapant/TL32711 (1) is a bivalent antagonist of the inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) family of proteins and was designed to mimic AVPI, the N-terminal tetrapeptide of the second mitochondria-derived activator of caspases (Smac/DIABLO). Birinapant bound to the BIR3 domains of cIAP1, cIAP2, and XIAP with K i values of 1, 36, and 45 nM, respectively. Birinapant-mediated activation of cIAP1 resulted in cIAP1 autoubiquitylation and degradation and correlated with inhibition of TNF-mediated NF-κB activation, induction of tumor cell death in vitro, and tumor regression in vivo.

The adverse effects of PHVF on oxidative stress and inflammatory markers and the possible ameliorative action of rice bran oil (RBO) on these markers were evaluated.

Aim: The aim of this study is to evaluate the versatility of pleuripotent undifferentiated stem cells derived from BM aspiration and its applications in oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures.
Materials And Methods: A total of 30 patients out of which 15 were with hard tissue defects (cystic lesions n = 6, post surgical alveolar defects n = 4, peri implant defects n = 3, alveolar clefts n = 2) and 15 soft tissue lesions (leukoplakia and lichen planus n = 6, oral submucous fibrosis n = 7, post traumatic soft tissue loss n = 2) were included in the study on randomized clinical basis.
Here, we present the expression data on various metabolic pathways of liver with special emphasize on lipid and carbohydrate metabolism and long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) synthesis, both at gene and protein levels. The data were obtained to understand the effect of vitamin A deficiency on the expression status (both gene and protein levels) of some of the key factors involved in lipogenesis, fatty acid oxidation, triglyceride secretion, long chain PUFA, resolvin D1 synthesis, glucose transport and glycogen synthesis of liver, using modern biology tools, such as quantitative real-time PCR (RT-PCR) and immunoblotting techniques. This data article provides the supporting evidence to the article "Vitamin A deficiency suppresses high fructose-induced triglyceride synthesis and elevates resolvin D1 levels" [1] and therefore, these data may be referred back, for comprehensive understanding and interpretations and for future studies.

The CPOC setup, aligned on the rotary stage, laterally shears the input plane polarized spherical beam into a pair of orthogonally polarized beams, which when brought to the same state of polarization by a polarizer produce interference fringes similar to Young's fringes. Rotation of the CPOC setup in its plane introduces a phase change between the orthogonally polarized lateral sheared beams due to the change in angle of incidence of the input beam.
