Aim: To provide a detailed anatomical segmentation of the uncinate fasciculus (UF) and to identify its cortical and subcortical connections using complementary white matter dissection and diffusion-weighted imaging tractography techniques.
Material And Methods: Human cadaveric cerebral hemsipheres were used to perform fiber dissections of the UF using the Klingler technique. The tract was anatomically segmented based on its spatial relationships with surrounding structures.
Objective: This study examines how anatomical variations influence the targeting coordinates of the subthalamic nucleus (STN) in patients with Idiopathic Parkinson's Disease (IPD) undergoing Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), with the goal of enhancing targeting accuracy.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on 202 STNs from patients who received bilateral STN-DBS surgery. Pre- and postoperative imaging data were used to determine accurate STN coordinates, while brain volume measurements, ventricle size, Evans Index, and AC -PC length were analyzed.
Background: Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is an effective treatment for various neurological disorders, including Parkinson's disease. However, its increasing use has highlighted the risk of serious complications, such as intracerebral abscesses and hardware-related wound infections. While hardware-related infections are common, intracerebral abscesses remain rare.

Methods: From June 2020 to March 2024, a surgical team performed 490 EETPS procedures on 458 pituitary adenoma patients.
Purpose: To assess whether diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) and generalized q-sampling imaging (GQI) metrics could preoperatively predict the clinical outcome of deep brain stimulation (DBS) in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD).
Methods: In this single-center retrospective study, from September 2021 to March 2023, preoperative DTI and GQI examinations of 44 patients who underwent DBS surgery, were analyzed. To evaluate motor functions, the Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS) during on- and off-medication and Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire-39 (PDQ-39) scales were used before and three months after DBS surgery.

Aim: To investigate the surgical value of MER recordings and improve surgical technique by demonstrating the consistency between preoperative radiological STN volume and intraoperative neurophysiological STN length.
Material And Methods: Sixty-one patients with PD were enrolled. The volumes of the STN were measured using magnetic resonance images 3-dimensional volume reconstructions of stereotactic magnetic resonance images.
Aim: To investigate the relationship between clinical features and prognosis of the hippocampal sclerosis (HS) cases and International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) histopathology classification.
Material And Methods: A hundred patients with refractory epilepsy who were operated with the diagnosis of the Mesial Temporal Lobe Epilepsy were included in the study. Socio-demographic characteristics, clinical and family histories, post-operative ILAE and Engel epilepsy scores and diagnostic tests were recorded.
