Medical Big Data Storage in Precision Medicine: A Systematic Review.

Background: The characteristics of medical data in Precision Medicine (PM), the challenges related to their storage and retrieval, and the effective facilities to address these challenges are importantly considered in implementing PM. For this purpose, a secured and scalable infrastructure for various data integration and storage is needed.

Objective: This study aimed to determine the characteristics of PM data and recognize the challenges and solutions related to appropriate infrastructure for data storage and its related issues.

Effectiveness of ChatGPT for Clinical Scenario Generation: A Qualitative Study.

Introduction: A growing area is the use of ChatGPT in simulation-based learning, a widely recognized methodology in medical education. This study aimed to evaluate ChatGPT's ability to generate realistic simulation scenarios to assist faculty as a significant challenge in medical education.

Method: This study employs a qualitative research design and thematic analysis to interpret expert opinions The study was conducted in two phases.

Presenting a prediction model for HELLP syndrome through data mining.

Background: The HELLP syndrome represents three complications: hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, and low platelet count. Since the causes and pathogenesis of HELLP syndrome are not yet fully known and well understood, distinguishing it from other pregnancy-related disorders is complicated. Furthermore, late diagnosis leads to a delay in treatment, which challenges disease management.

Determining the minimum data elements to develop a child malnutrition registry system.

Background: Today, malnutrition is one of the biggest health crises for children in the world. Access to accurate and high-quality data is very important to establish policies to deal with it. Registries are considered valuable tools for data collection and management of child malnutrition.

Development of a minimum data set for a blockchain-based personal health records (PHRs), for patient/physician interaction in family medicine.

Background: The primary requirement for a capable patient health record (PHR) that can interact appropriately with the family medicine system and collect and share qualified data is a minimum data set (MDS) aligned with family medicine's functions and goals. The aim of this research was to determine the MDS for a blockchain-based PHR system that can effectively interact with family medicine providers and collect and share qualified data. This MDS is intended to be applicable to all members of the community covered by family medicine.

Key performance indicators of hospital supply chain: a systematic review.

Background: Performance measurement is vital for hospitals to become service-oriented, operate efficiently, attract customers, increase revenue, and improve both clinical and non-clinical outcomes, enabling them to succeed in the competitive healthcare sector. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) play a crucial role in monitoring, assessing, and enhancing care quality and service delivery. However, identifying suitable KPIs for performance measurement can be challenging for hospitals due to a lack of comprehensive sources.

Identifying and validating the components for the development of an information system for health grey literature in Iran: A mixed method approach.

Background: Considering the importance and necessity of establishing a nationwide information system for health grey literature in Iran, this study aimed to identify the main dimensions and components needed for developing a health grey literature information system in Iran and validate them according to experts' opinions.

Materials And Methods: A mixed-method approach with an exploratory sequential design was used in this study. The research was done in following main steps: (1) conducting a systematic literature review to identify the potential components of the health grey literature information system suggested in the literature, (2) Interviewing 19 experts to explore further components required for designing the health grey literature system for Iran and doing a thematic analysis for analyzing the interviews, and (3) validating the identified components by a Delphi panel in two rounds for finalizing the initially-approved dimensions and components.

From designing minimum data set to developing kidney transplantation registry in Iran.

Objective: Currently, population growth and increasing life expectancy are becoming one of the biggest public health challenges in the world, which has increased the prevalence of chronic diseases such as end-stage renal disease and the need for kidney transplantation. The use of a variety of registries has the potential to determine the effectiveness of clinical care and costs and improve the quality of patient care. The aim of this study is to design minimum data set to develop a kidney transplantation registry in Iran to improve the quality of care for people with end-stage renal disease.

Mobile health apps for pregnant women usability and quality rating scales: a systematic review.

Objective: This study is to identify the apps used by pregnant women during the technology era and to choose the best app from the point of view of pregnant women and experts.

Methods: The article is a research article that uses PRISMA flowchart. Given that there are many apps in the field of pregnancy and due to technological advances, the articles of the last 13 years that have been scientifically published in the databases of Google Scholar, PubMed, and Science Direct have been analyzed.

Machine Learning Models for Predicting the Type and Outcome of Ureteral Stones Treatments.

Background: Kidney and ureter stones are the third pathologies in urological diseases. Less invasive treatments such as transureteral lithotripsy and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy are used to treat ureteral stones. Data mining has provided the possibility of improving decision-making in choosing the optimal treatment.

Design, development and evaluation of a mobile-based self-care application for patients with COVID-19 not requiring hospitalization; a study of Northwest of Iran.

Background: Given the effective role of a mobile applications in disease management, disease monitoring, and self-care in patients with COVID-19 disease, we aimed to design, development and evaluation of a self-care Mobile app for COVID-19 patients not requiring hospitalization.

Methods: The design, development and evaluation the usability of the self-care and education mobile app for patients with COVID-19 disease were conducted in two main phases at 2021 in Northwest of IRAN; (1) Determine the features and capabilities and (2) Design, development and evaluation of self-care mobile App. JAVA programming languages and Android Operating System were used and selected to design and development of a mobile app.

Design and evaluation of an educational mobile program for liver transplant patients.

Background: Liver transplantation, the last treatment for advanced liver failure, necessitates patient education due to its wide range of complications and subsequent disabilities. The present study was development-applied research and aimed to design a mobile-based educational program to provide liver transplant patients with critical health information.

Methods: In the first phase of the study, the crucial educational components were collected from the literature and organized in the form of a questionnaire using library studies and available global guidelines.

Background: Celiac disease is a major public health problem in many countries, including Iran. Considering the disease's exponential spread throughout the world and its risk factors, identifying the educational priorities and minimum data required to control and treat the disease is of great significance.

Women's Preference for Cervical Cancer Screening Methods in Iran: A Contingent Valuation Survey.

Cervical cancer is the fifth most deadly cancer in women in Iran. The present study aimed to investigate the monetary value of cervical cancer screening benefits from a social perspective. Development of an online cancer data collection and processing tool for population-based cancer registries in a low-resource setting: The CanDCap experience from Golestan, Iran.

Background: Golestan Population-based Cancer Registry (GPCR) with more than 15-years experiences developed an in-house online software called Cancer Data Collection and Processing (CanDCap) to improve its data collection operations from the conventional offline method to new online method. We aimed to report the methods and framework that GPCR applied to design and implementation of the CanDCap.

Methods: CanDCap was designed based on International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) protocols and standards and according to the GPCR workflow.

Systematic review of women's knowledge, attitude, and practice towards breast cancer.

The present study aims to systematically review the women's knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) of breast cancer (BC) screening methods to get enough information for policymakers to orient the screening strategies. All English KAP studies on BC screening methods in five databases up to January 2021 were included. The quality of the final articles was assessed using the STROBE checklist.

Predicting the survival of kidney transplantation: design and evaluation of a smartphone-based application.

Background: Prediction of graft survival for Kidney Transplantation (KT) is considered a risky task due to the scarcity of donating organs and the use of health care resources. The present study aimed to design and evaluate a smartphone-based application to predict the survival of KT in patients with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD).

Method: Based on the initial review, a researcher-made questionnaire was developed to assess the information needs of the application through urologists and nephrologists.

Developing A Minimum Data Set for A Rheumatoid Arthritis Registry in Iran.

Background: Using Minimum Data Set (MDS) is the first step in creating and developing a health care information system; it includes standard and key data elements to capture and manage patient care.

Aims: This study aimed to develop an MDS in order for using it for designing registry of patients with rheumatoid arthritis in Iran.

Population or family history based BRCA gene tests of breast cancer? A systematic review of economic evaluations.

Background: Nearly 56% of at-risk carriers are not identified and missed as a result of the current family-history (FH) screening for genetic testing. The present study aims to review the economic evaluation studies on BRCA genetic testing strategies for screening and early detection of breast cancer.

Methods: This systematic literature review is conducted within the Cochrane Library, PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, ProQuest, and EMBASE databases.
