The growing integration of wind energy and electric vehicles (EVs) introduces significant uncertainty and operational complexity to modern power systems. To address these challenges, this paper presents a novel and optimized demand response (DR) framework designed to enhance system reliability while accounting for wind generation variability and the flexible nature of EV loads. The proposed method incorporates a real-time uncertainty model using a statistical mean-standard deviation relationship to dynamically quantify wind power fluctuations.

Background: Despite advancements, THA is still associated with risks, particularly venous thromboembolism (VTE). THA in patients with high-riding developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) could potentially be associated with an elevated risk of VTE. We conducted a study to evaluate whether patients with high-riding DDH undergoing THA and receiving aspirin have an increased risk of symptomatic VTE compared with patients undergoing primary THA for other diagnoses.

Objectives: The current study aimed to assess the effects of thyme essential oil at sub-minimal inhibitory concentrations (sub-MICs) on bacterial growth and expression of some virulence genes in Salmonella enteritidis.
Methods: The bacterial growth rate and the expression of four virulence genes in S.
Even though replication research has gained traction within academia over the recent years, it is not often well-received as a stand-alone thesis topic by supervisors and university administrators. In this qualitative investigation, we delve into the perspectives of academic supervisors on the feasibility of replication as a thesis topic within the field of applied linguistics (AL). Drawing on Institutional Theory, administrative pressures facing supervisors on what to be considered permissible for a thesis were also explored.

However, based on our knowledge, the improvement in HRQoL after TKA, which depends on various factors, has yet to be investigated compared to healthy people. This study aimed to evaluate the HRQoL of patients compared to healthy people and the factors affecting the HRQoL after TKA.

It is important to provide these caregivers with high-quality information to help them understand and manage the symptoms and behaviors of dementia patients. This study aims to evaluate ChatGPT, a chatbot built using the Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) large language model, in responding to information needs and information seeking of such informal caregivers.

Genotype VII virulent NDVs pose a significant threat to poultry due to their association with high mortality rates and economic losses. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of three commercial live vaccines based on genotype II against genotype VII virulent NDV (vNDV) in specific pathogen-free (SPF) chickens.

Methods: Total number of 40 patients with KOA enrolled in two groups. Twenty patients received intra-articular injection of 100 × 10 allogeneic adipose-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (AD-MSCs), and 20 patients as control group received placebo (normal saline).
Background: Tibial plateau fractures (TPF) are uncommon and challenging for orthopedic surgeons with controversial reported outcomes. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the functional outcomes and quality of life (QOL) of patients with surgically treated TPF.
Methods: A total of 80 consecutive patients and 82 controls participated in this case control study.

Background: Mobile apps have been shown to play an important role in the management, care, and prevention of infectious diseases. Thus, skills for self-care-one of the most effective ways to prevent illness-can be improved through mobile health apps.
Objective: This study aimed to design, develop, and evaluate an educational mobile-based self-care app in order to help the self-prevention of COVID-19 in underdeveloped countries.
Background: Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) injection has been proposed as an innovative treatment for knee osteoarthritis (KOA). Since, allogeneic MSCs can be available as off-the-shelf products, they are preferable in regenerative medicine. Among different sources for MSCs, adipose-derived MSCs (AD-MSCs) appear to be more available.

Our aim in the present study was to evaluate the HealthBuddy+ smartphone app, designed and implemented by the World Health Organization for the European region. For this purpose, we have used Heuristic evaluation method. The tools utilized in this study included 10 heuristics and measure System Usability Scale (SUS), as well as Nielsen's five-point Severity Ranking Scale.

A control strategy based on the particle swarm optimization (PSO) and energy management algorithms was proposed to facilitate power distribution in the micro-grid and to improve the reliability, control levels, and penetration of micro-grids in the current electrical grids. The proposed operational strategy is based on the power predicted using the load profile and power generation resources.

However, the vaccine-induced antibody responses have not been studied in this species. The level of systemic humoral immune responses against the NDV was investigated in commercial turkey poults vaccinated with the VG/GA vaccine.

Despite being acknowledged to have a facilitative effect on second language (L2) learning, the extent of their acquisitional contribution is a matter of controversy. This study examined the effectiveness of single and multiple recasts (SR & MR) on the acquisition of a planned target structure, as represented on the learners' implicit and explicit knowledge.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to report the clinical and functional outcomes of patients, treated between 2004 and 2009, with high-risk popliteal vascular injuries due to compound fractures about the knee.
Patients And Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted of prospectively collected data from Tabriz Medical Trauma Center. Our aim was to perform surgical revascularization as soon as the arterial injury was recognized.
In order to investigate the relationship between carbon dioxide tensions in the venous blood of young chickens and ascites susceptibility, one hundred day-old chickens from two pure broiler breeder lines differing in susceptibility to ascites syndrome were obtained and reared at low environmental temperature. Weekly, blood samples were taken for the determination of blood gas parameters and plasma thyroid hormone levels. Dead birds were examined for lesions of ascites daily and all survived birds were autopsied at the end of the trials.
