Diffuse-type gastric cancer (DGC), characterized by poorly cohesive cells within fibrotic stroma, is associated with advanced disease and poor prognosis. Here, to identify distinct biomarkers for DGC compared with intestinal-type gastric cancer, we constructed a comprehensive large-scale signaling network using RNA-sequencing data from three genomic databases (The Cancer Genome Atlas, GSE62254 and GSE26253), developed a mathematical model and conducted simulation analyses. For validation, we used tissue microarray blocks of gastric cancers with immunohistochemical staining, single-cell RNA sequencing, primary cultures of cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) and organoids, and a co-culture system involving CAFs and cancer cells.

Materials And Methods: From EGC patients who underwent ESD, bulk RNA sequencing was performed on non-cancerous gastric mucosa samples at the time of initial EGC diagnosis. This included 23 patients who developed MGC, and 23 control patients without additional gastric neoplasms for over 3 years (1:1 matched by age, sex, and Helicobacter pylori infection state).
Background: Diffuse-type gastric cancer (DGC), for which Helicobacter pylori infection is a causal factor, is associated with poor prognosis among young women, possibly due to female hormones such as estrogen. We aimed to identify the carcinogenesis induced by estrogen and H. pylori in DGC.

Previous studies show that SOHLH2 is critical for spermatogenesis in mouse. However, the regulatory mechanism of SOHLH2 during early spermatogenesis is poorly understood.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAimp1 is known as a multifunctional cytokine in various cellular events. Recent study showed Aimp1 is localized in glandular epithelial, endothelial, and stromal cells in functionalis and basalis layers of the endometrium. However, the regulatory mechanism of Aimp1 in the uterus remains unknown.

However, Lhx8 DNA binding sequences are not characterized yet. We aimed to identify and characterize a cis-acting sequence of germ-cell specific transcriptional factor, Lhx8.
