Based on the control-value theory of academic emotions and self-determination theory, it explores how students' perceptions of a caring school community and a positive learning climate influence their emotions, motivation, learning strategies, and reading performance. A total of 296 fifth- and sixth-grade students completed self-report measures assessing these factors.

Background: Accurate measurements from cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) images require precise positioning of scan planes and elimination of motion artifacts from arrhythmia or breathing. Unidentified or incorrectly managed artifacts degrade image quality, invalidate clinical measurements, and decrease diagnostic confidence. The perception of time is a subjective experience influenced by various factors such as individual psychology, external stimuli, and personal experiences, and it is often assessed with the use of the reproduction task that involves individuals estimating and reproducing the duration of specific time intervals. In the current study, we examined the ability of 97 musically trained participants to reproduce the durations of temporal intervals that were filled with music or speech stimuli. The results revealed a consistent pattern of durations being underestimated, and an association was observed between the duration of musical training and the level of accuracy in reproducing both music and speech tracks.

Objective: To determine the contributing factors associated with major depressive disorder (MDD) in SLE patients and examine the association between disease-specific health-related quality of life [lupus quality of life (LupusQoL)] domains and MDD.

Methods: Depression was assessed by the patient health questionnaire (PHQ)-9, and scores ≥10 indicate MDD. Demographic data, LupusQoL domains, clinical and other features of the SLE patients were described and compared between MDD (PHQ-9 ≥10) and non-MDD (PHQ-9 <10) groups using χ2 tests for categorical variables and Wilcoxon rank sum tests for non-normal continuous variables.

Geometric fluid approximation for general continuous-time Markov chains.

The purpose of this experiment was to test how ethnic group membership of both the bullies and the victims influence the way that observers attribute human characteristics to bullies. Ethnic group membership was manipulated in terms of bullies' and victims' ethnicity (ingroup-majority group versus outgroup-minority group). Furthermore, we examined the mediating role of empathic concern towards the victim and perspective taking of the bully in the relation between ethnic group membership of bullies and victims and attributions of humanness to the bullies.
