In ancient human compact bone tissue, we can present the identified marker proteins of Treponema pallidum, the lipoproteins 47 kDa, 17 kDa and 15 kDa in three adult individuals from Austria (thirteenth-seventeenth century CE), and in a 5 to 6-years-old child from Germany (seventeenth-nineteenth century CE). These three identified lipoproteins are also used to diagnose syphilis in current medicine. The individuals selected for this study predominantly exhibit the macroscopic and microscopic features of treponemal disease.

In recent years, nutrition and dietetics have evolved from playing a supporting role in inflammatory bowel disease care to becoming an integral part of the treatment approach. While human and mouse memory B cells (MBCs) can express the transcription factor T-bet, its role in regulating MBC function remains unclear. Background: Pb and Pb show promise as theragnostic agents for targeted alpha therapy (TAT) because two chemically identical isotopes can be used for diagnostic imaging and treatment. In the Pb decay chain, in addition to alpha and beta particles, a large number of photons are emitted, those with an energy of 239 keV and the characteristic X-rays of Pb could be used for imaging. Pb decays by photon emission with an energy of 279 keV, which appears suitable for gamma camera imaging.

Purpose: Cancer treatment with alpha-emitter-based radioligand therapies (α-RLTs) demonstrates promising tumor responses. Radiolabeled peptides are filtered through glomeruli, followed by potential reabsorption of a fraction by proximal tubules, which may cause acute kidney injury (AKI) and chronic kidney disease (CKD). Because tubular cells are considered the primary site of radiopeptides' renal reabsorption and potential injury, the current use of kidney biomarkers of glomerular functional loss limits the evaluation of possible nephrotoxicity and its early detection.
