Oxygen deficient molybdenum oxide nanosheet (Od-MO Nshs) was synthesised by hydrothermal method and its peroxidase-like activity was established with 3,3',5,5'-Tetramethylbenzidine-(TMB) and o-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride-(OPD) as a co-substrate in presence of Hydrogen peroxide (HO) and catalytic parameters were compared with horseradish peroxidase-(HRP) enzyme. Optimization was carried out for physical and chemical parameters. Synthesised nanoparticles-(NPs) were characterized for size, shape, composition oxidation state etc.

Stem cell transplantation has shown promise in providing pain relief for patients with chronic SCI by releasing transforming growth factor β (TGF-β). This systematic review aims to evaluate stem cell's effectiveness in recovering neuropathic pain in patients with spinal cord injury. The study followed the PRISMA guidelines and included patients with chronic spinal cord injury who received stem cells compared with a control group.

Background: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma carries a dismal prognosis, with five-year survival below 10 % due to late presentation, aggressive nature, and profound intratumor heterogeneity. Existing prognostic models fail to account for the dynamic interplay between subclonal evolution and the tumor microenvironment, limiting their clinical utility for risk stratification and therapy guidance.

Methods: An in silico, multiscale framework was developed, combining an agent-based model of subclone proliferation, migration, quiescence, and apoptosis with continuum reaction-diffusion equations for oxygen, nutrients, extracellular matrix, and chemoattractants.

A simple spectrophotometric method is presented for quantifying glucose and HO using p-aminophenol sulfate-(PAP) & N-(1-Naphthyl) ethylenediamine dihydrochloride-(NEDA) as novel chromogenic reagents with different morphological VO nanoparticles (NPs) as peroxidase mimicking nanozyme. For glucose, the method was linear in the range of 0.0289 and 0.

COVID-19 caused by SARS CoV-2 continues to be a major health concern globally. Methods for detection of the disease are necessary for public health efforts to monitor the spread of this disease as well as for detecting the emergence of new variants. Collection of Nasopharyngeal swab (NPS), the gold standard sample for the detection of COVID-19 infection by RT-qPCR is invasive and requires the expertise of a trained medical provider.

We report a case of massive upper-limb edema necessitating disarticulation, in a cancer survivor who tended to ignore instructions regarding preventive exercises since 2002 after completion of her treatment for breast cancer. However, she was in a family situation where she was constrained to physically involve in daily chores. Consequently, she presented 14 years later with a lymphedematous arm which weighed over 31 kg, necessitating disarticulation.

Acetyl acetone is introduced as a new coupling agent for the spectrophotometric determination of some chemotherapeutic agents, such as metoclopramide, dapsone, p-aminobenzoic acid, and cisapride in both pure and dosage forms. The method is based on the diazo-coupling reaction of these chemotherapeutic agents with a new coupling agent, acetyl acetone, in an alkaline medium. The optimum reaction conditions and other analytical parameters are evaluated.

Two simple and sensitive spectrophotometric methods are described for the determination of ritodrine hydrochloride (RTH) in both pure and dosage forms. The methods are based on the interaction of diazotised p-nitroaniline (DPNA) and sulphanilic acid (DSNA) with RTH in an alkaline medium. The resulting azo dyes are measured at 480 nm (for the DPNA method) and at 440 nm (for the DSNA method) and are stable for more than 1 h.

An isolated fungus, Aspergillus foetidus was found to effectively decolorize media containing azo reactive dyes, namely Procion dyes, under aerobic conditions. The extent of colour removal was 90% within 48 h of growth of the fungus. The entire colour was found to be strongly bioadsorbed to the rapidly settling spherical fungal biomass pellets.

A rapid, sensitive and selective spectrophotometric method has been developed for the quantitative determination of metoclopramide hydrochloride (MCP) and dapsone (DAP) in both pure and dosage forms. The method is based on the diazo coupling reaction of the drugs with a new coupling agent, dibenzoyl methane in an alkaline medium. The resulting coloured azo dyes exhibit maximum absorption at 440 nm for MCP and at 470 nm for DAP with a molar absorptivity of 2.

A simple, accurate, and rapid method for the quantitative determination of ritodrine hydrochloride (RTH) and isoxsuprine hydrochloride (ISH) in both pure and dosage forms, is described. The method is based on the development of pink colored product as a result of the condensation of 4-aminoantipyrine with phenols in the presence of an alkaline oxidizing agent. The resulting products are measured at 510 nm for both drugs, with molar absorptivities of 0.

An isolated fungus, Aspergillus foetidus was found to effectively decolorize media containing azo reactive dyes namely, Drimarene dyes. The extent of color removal was greater than 95% within 48 h of growth of the fungus. The entire color was found to be strongly bioadsorbed to the rapidly settling fungal biomass pellets without undergoing significant biotransformation.

A sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of amitriptyline hydrochloride, nortriptyline hydrochloride and doxepin hydrochloride in pure and dosage forms, is described. The method is based on the oxidative coupling of the drugs with 3-methylbenzothiazolin-2-one hydrazone in the presence of iron(III) chloride in 1 M hydrochloric acid. The commonly encountered excipients and additives do not interfere with the determinations.
