We report a case of a female in her mid-40s diagnosed as norethisterone-induced liver injury. A detailed evaluation strongly supported our suspicion of progestin-induced liver disease with prompt reversal after discontinuation of norethisterone.

The optimization for the extraction of bioactive compounds from (GC) and (nutmeg rind (NM)) using Peleg's kinetic model with Response Surface Methodology (RSM) was observed. The extraction efficiency was assessed through Total Phenolic Content (TPC), Total Flavonoids (TF), and Antioxidant activity. The effect of particle size, temperature, and solvent concentration on extraction performance was facilitated by RSM.

Hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) is a rare but serious condition in adults, typically characterized by a triad of microangiopathic hemolytic anemia (MAHA), thrombocytopenia, and acute kidney injury (AKI). While most commonly associated with pediatric populations and Shiga toxin-producing (STEC), adult-onset cases remain underrecognized, especially in resource-limited settings like India. We report the case of a 35-year-old male patient who presented with a low-grade fever, bloody diarrhea, jaundice, and dark brown-colored urine.

Introduction: Oral diseases are a major global health challenge, posing health and economic burdens that have profound impacts on the quality of life, disproportionately affecting marginalized populations such as tribal communities. Among scheduled tribes in India, the Irula community belongs to one of the tribes most vulnerable by poor access to health care and education. The elders in the population have increased incidence and prevalence rates of tooth morbidities-an increased incidence of caries, non-carious lesions, and periodontitis-related conditions that affect oral health related quality of life (OHQOL) dimensions.
