Objective: To identify the dietary patterns of ultra-processed food (UPF) consumption in the UK adults, and to explore their nutritional characteristics and associated demographic and socioeconomic factors.

Design: UPF-based dietary patterns were identified using weighted principal component analysis and k-means cluster analysis on UPFs intakes (identified using Nova classification) from the cross-sectional NDNS data (2008-2019). Weighted multivariable logistic regression models were employed to identify the demographic and socioeconomic factors associated with the patterns.

This systematic review and meta-analysis synthesized evidence of the association between 24-h movement behaviors and social-emotional health and cognitive development in children and adolescents aged 3-18 years from studies using compositional data analysis. Systematic literature searches were conducted on five electronic databases from January 2015 to December 2024. Studies were eligible if they assessed sleep, moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity, light intensity physical activity, and sedentary time.

It is important to screen for motor impairments in ADHD due to high comorbidity, yet little is known about the validity of established and standardized motor assessment batteries in children with symptoms of ADHD. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the utility of using the Movement Assessment Battery for Children - 2nd Edition (MABC-2) in children aged 7-9 years with symptoms of ADHD. To achieve this, measurement invariance of the MABC-2 was examined between children with and without symptoms of ADHD.

Background: Recent stagnation or worsening trends in cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk factors, including low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c) and obesity, might slow the decline in Japan's CVD burden. Policies restricting price-based incentives in the out-of-home (OOH) food sector could influence food-related behaviours and improve population diet. In the present study we assessed the impact of removing price-based incentives on consumer food selection through a virtual, hypothetical, OOH delivery platform. Participants ordered a hypothetical meal for their household using a virtual ordering platform which presented the menu of a popular UK pizza chain restaurant/takeaway outlet.
