Objective: This study explores how AI-powered consultation services in internet hospitals influence patient satisfaction through perceived value and emotions. A dual-path analytical framework was developed: the technical path uses the E-S-QUAL model to assess the quality of intelligent consultation guidance services in terms of efficiency, system availability, privacy, and fulfillment; the experiential path is based on the Patient Experience-Driven Model, which integrates service encounter theory (focusing on patient-system interactions) and the Stimulus-Organism-Response theory (explaining how external stimuli trigger psychological and behavioral responses).

Methods: The dual-path framework includes two submodels.

Introduction: Recent guidelines suggest behavioural weight loss (BWL) and pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT) as first-line treatment approaches for women with both obesity and stress urinary incontinence (SUI). However, the optimal therapeutic and management strategies for these populations remain uncertain.

Methods And Analysis: This assessor-blinded parallel-group randomised controlled trial aims to compare the efficacy of BWL alone, BWL plus conventional PFMT and BWL plus PFMT with a biofeedback device for women who are overweight or obese experiencing SUI or SUI-predominant mixed urinary incontinence.

Surgical planning can be highly complicated and personalized, where a surgeon needs to balance multiple decisional dimensions including surgical effectiveness, risk, cost, and patient's conditions and preferences. Turning to artificial intelligence is a great appeal. This study filled in this gap with Multi-Dimensional Recommendation (MUDI), an interpretable data-driven intelligent system that supported personalized surgical recommendations on both the patient's and the surgeon's side with joint consideration of multiple decisional dimensions.

Background: Fibrosis of the connective tissue in the vaginal wall predominates in pelvic organ prolapse (POP), which is characterized by excessive fibroblast-to-myofibroblast differentiation and abnormal deposition of the extracellular matrix (ECM). Our study aimed to investigate the effect of ECM stiffness on vaginal fibroblasts and to explore the role of methyltransferase 3 (METTL3) in the development of POP.

Methods: Polyacrylamide hydrogels were applied to create an ECM microenvironment with variable stiffness to evaluate the effects of ECM stiffness on the proliferation, differentiation, and expression of ECM components in vaginal fibroblasts.

Background: Ectopic pregnancy (EP) accounts for approximately 2% of all pregnancies, with tubal ectopic pregnancies (TEPs) being the most common type. Methotrexate (MTX) is a noninvasive and effective medical management option for TEP, but failure rates range from 10 to 36%, posing challenges in clinical practice. Identifying risk factors for MTX treatment failure is crucial to improve patient outcomes and guide clinical decision-making.

Purpose: To assess the health related quality of life (HRQoL) and sexual function related to urinary incontinence (UI) severity among women with overweight or obesity.

Methods: From September 2023 to January 2024, a cross-sectional was conducted among women seeking weight loss with overweight or obesity focusing on the symptoms and effects of UI. The degree of UI severity, UI-specific HRQoL, sexual function, and generic HRQoL were detected via Incontinence Modular Questionnaire-Urinary Incontinence Short Form (ICIQ-UI-SF), Incontinence Impact Questionnaire-Short Form (IIQ-7), Short-form Prolapse Incontinence Sexual Questionnaire (PISQ-12), and European Quality of Life-5 Dimensions 5-Level questionnaire (EQ-5D-5 L) respectively.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to identify types of urinary incontinence (UI) among women seeking weight loss and assess their impacts on quality of life (QoL) and sexual function.
  • A total of 564 women with UI symptoms were analyzed, revealing that mixed UI was the most common and had the most severe effects on QoL and sexual function compared to stress and urgency UI.
  • The findings suggest that while mixed UI presented the worst impacts, overall QoL and sexual function did not significantly differ among the UI subtypes when severity was controlled.

Article Synopsis
  • * In a study at Peking Union Medical College Hospital between 2013 and 2024, 6 women with AT deficiency had 17 pregnancies, where 7 of those were treated with low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) and closely monitored.
  • * The findings indicated that proper management using LMWH improved pregnancy outcomes, with live births mainly occurring in women receiving this anticoagulant, highlighting the need for thorough risk assessments and tailored anticoagulation therapy during pregnancy for those with AT

Background: No conclusions have been reached on whether female stress urinary incontinence (SUI) and related treatments affect male partners' sexual function.

Aim: To assess the effects of female SUI and related treatments on male partners' sexual function.

Methods: A comprehensive search of the PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane, and Scopus databases was performed up to September 6, 2022.

Background: Previous prediction models for postoperative stress urinary incontinence (SUI) cannot be applied to patients receiving transvaginal mesh (TVM) surgery and colpocleisis or those with preoperative subject urinary incontinence. This study aimed to develop and validate a new machine learning model and compare it to previous models.

Methods: Female patients who underwent prolapse surgeries for stage 2-4 anterior or apical prolapse between January 1, 2015, and December 31, 2019, at Peking Union Medical College Hospital were enrolled.

N-glycoproteins are involved in various biological processes. Certain distinctive glycoforms on specific glycoproteins enhance the specificity and/or sensitivity of cancer diagnosis. Therefore, the characterization of plasma Nglycoproteome is essential for a new biomarker discovery.

Background: More and more automated efficient ultrasound image analysis techniques, such as ultrasound-based computer-aided diagnosis system (CAD), were developed to obtain accurate, reproducible, and more objective diagnosis results for thyroid nodules. So far, whether the diagnostic performance of existing CAD systems can reach the diagnostic level of experienced radiologists is still controversial. The aim of the meta-analysis was to evaluate the accuracy of CAD for thyroid nodules' diagnosis by reviewing current literatures and summarizing the research status.
