The relative importance of socio-ecological factors in regard to psychosexual health among adolescent students: based on dominance analysis.

Background Psychosexual health refers to an individual's capacity to acquire sexual knowledge through appropriate means, develop healthy values, accept bodily changes, align with socio-cultural norms and regulate sexual behaviors. The study aimed to explore the relative importance of general self-efficacy, sexual refusal self-efficacy, peer relationship, parental monitoring and parent-teen communication about sex in influencing psychosexual health among secondary vocational school students. Methods A total of 2895 secondary vocational school students from of Shandong province in China were selected to complete the General Self-Efficacy Scale, Sexual Refusal Self-Efficacy Questionnaire, Peer Relationship Scale, Parental Monitoring Questionnaire, Parent-Teen Communication about Sex Questionnaire, School Connectedness Scale, School Sex Education Questionnaire and High School Student Psychosexual Health Scale.

Rapid on-site detection of illicit drugs in urine using C18 pipette-tip based solid-phase extraction coupled with a miniaturized mass spectrometer.

Drug abuse is a social issue worldwide, and there is an increasing demand for on-site rapid detection of illicit drugs. In this study, a rapid and simple analytical method for the detection of 6-monoacetylmorphine (6-MAM), methamphetamine (MA), methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), ketamine (K), norketamine (NK), and cocaine (COC) in urine was developed. The developed method combines C18 pipette-tip based solid-phase extraction (C18 PT-SPE) with a miniaturized mass spectrometer (miniMS), exhibiting remarkable simplicity, high sensitivity, and strong reliability, compared with the conventional method.

[Development of an analytical system for dried blood spots for forensic toxicology: a case study of five common drugs and poisons].

Dried blood spot (DBS) technology is a simple and convenient method for collecting, transporting, and storing blood samples on filter paper, and has numerous applications in the clinical, research, and public health settings. This technique is gaining popularity in the field of forensic science because it facilitates the rapid analysis of prohibited drugs in blood samples and offers significant advantages in toxicology scenarios such as drinking-driving screening, drug abuse detection, and doping detection. However, the lack of a standardized system and the fact that its stability and reliability have not been thoroughly researched and demonstrated limit its application in judicial practice in China.

Application of aptamer-conjugated graphene oxide for specific enrichment of microcystin-LR in Achatina fulica prior to matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry.

Microcystin-LR (MC-LR), as a hepatotoxin, can cause liver swelling, hepatitis, and even liver cancer. In this study, MC-LR aptamer (Apt-3) modified graphene oxide (GO) was designed to enrich MC-LR in white jade snail (Achatina fulica) and pond water, followed by matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS) analysis. Results indicated that the Apt-3/PEG/GO nanocomposites were highly specific to MC-LR, and the detection limit of MALDI-MS was 0.

[Simultaneous determination of 36 hypotensive drugs in fingerprints by ultra performance liquid chromatography-triple quadrupole composite linear ion trap mass spectrometry].

Fingerprints contain important information such as the ingredients ingested by the donor. By analyzing the characteristic components in fingerprints, the donor can be characterized, which would provide insights for investigation of a given case. This approach can also be used in the qualitative monitoring of drug intake.

On-site testing of multiple drugs of abuse in urine by a miniature dual-LIT mass spectrometer.

There is an increasing need for rapid and on-site detection of emerging drugs of abuse. In this work, we developed a method using a miniature dual-LIT (linear ion trap) mass spectrometer recently developed with comprehensive tandem mass spectrometry analysis capability, for qualitative and quantitative analysis of multiple drugs of abuse. Paper-capillary spray cartridges were used with related workflow established to simplify overall analysis procedure.

Synthesis and antiproliferative activity of pterostilbene and 3′-methoxy pterostilbene Mannich base derivatives against Hela cells.

Fourteen novel pterostilbene (1) and [Formula: see text]-methoxy pterostilbene (2) Mannich base derivatives (3-16) were synthesized via the microwave-assisted Mannich reaction of 1 or 2 with various secondary amines and formaldehyde. The regioselectivity of the reaction occurred preferentially at [Formula: see text] position of the B-ring of stilbene. The biological testing results showed that all the target compounds exhibit antiproliferative activity against Hela cells from [Formula: see text]-[Formula: see text].
