During (Mtb) infection, infected alveolar macrophages (AMs) initially up-regulate a NRF2 regulated cell-protective program, which is detrimental to host control and impedes AM activation, including MHC II expression. MHC II is critical for CD4 T cell activation and host immunity during Mtb infection. We hypothesized that NRF2 regulates the MHC II pathway and AM antigen presentation to T cells.

Evidence-based interventions are crucial to addressing these issues; however, the effectiveness remains unclear. This scoping synthesised all interventions that tested either the prevention or improvement of mental health for adolescents living with HIV.

Early identification of at-risk patients is critical to improving medication safety and preventing severe complications.
Objective: To develop and externally validate a machine learning model for predicting the risk of DITP using routinely collected hospital data, and to optimize its clinical applicability through threshold adjustment.

Background: Structural covariance within the brain is thought to reflect inter-regional sharing of developmental influences. This hypothesis has proved difficult to test but can be informatively probed by the study of sex differences. Here, we use neuroimaging in humans and mice to study sex-differences in anatomical covariance- asking (1) are there sex differences in structural covariance and (2) do regions that share the same developmental influences, as exhibited by shared sex differences in volume, also show shared sex differences in volume covariance.

Vibrio parahaemolyticus is a leading cause of seafood-borne gastroenteritis worldwide, and its pathogenic strains typically harbor thermostable direct hemolysin (TDH) and type III secretion system 2 (T3SS2). Although these virulence factors are associated primarily with clinical isolates, their presence in nonclinical environmental and food isolates raises concerns about their potential infection risk. In this study, we investigated the pathogenic potential of nonclinical V.

However, the activation of cellular responses in muscle, specifically actively contracting, is not clearly understood. Therefore, we investigated biological effects induced by irradiation with 810 nm wavelength of light in myotubes, resting or actively contracting in an acute model of exercise.

Researchers are particularly interested in cannabidiol (CBD), Δ-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ-THC), and Δ-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ-THC). Despite the growing prevalence of these molecules in everyday life, research shows that cannabinoid products are often mislabeled.

In a previous study, it exhibited anti-inflammatory activities by disrupting the TLR4-MyD88 protein interaction, leading to the suppression of the NF-κB signaling pathway. In this study, further structure-activity relationship studies were conducted to evaluate 9-cinnamyl-9H-purine derivatives for their potential anticancer activities, as NF-κB inhibition is known to reduce tumor growth and increase cancer cell death.

Objective: This retrospective study evaluated the effectiveness of ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration cytology (US-FNAc) for diagnosing thyroid nodules less than 10mm and explored the correlation between the TIRADS classification and US-FNAc reports.
Methods: This analysis of 344 patients with 407 thyroid nodules less than 10mm was conducted from June 2022 to July 2023 at the Centre of Endocrinology and Diabetes, Danang Family hospital, Danang, Vietnam. US-FNAc was performed on all nodules, and cytology was reported according to The Bethesda System for Reporting Thyroid Cytopathology (TBSRTC).
Exercise is effective in preventing gestational hypertension, but its mechanism remains unclear. This study investigates the effects of exercise on Dahl salt-sensitive (DSS) rats, which develop elevated blood pressure and fetal growth restriction during pregnancy. DSS rats were divided into exercise and non-exercise groups, with Sprague-Dawley rats as controls.

Our analysis utilized data from patients admitted to Hai Phong International Hospital between January 2022 and December 2023. Inclusion criteria consisted of patients aged 18 years and above, those prescribed Ginkgo biloba extract alone or in combination with other medications, and the availability of complete medical records, including medication history, laboratory tests, and clinical outcomes.

This study identifies independent risk factors for CDE mortality in hospitals providing childhood cancer care in Latin America and Spain.
Methods: Centers implemented a prospective CDE registry, defined as unplanned transfer to a higher level of care, use of ICU-level interventions on the ward, or nonpalliative ward death.
Hypothyroidism, a common endocrine disorder, has a high incidence in women and increases with age. Levothyroxine (LT4) is the standard therapy; however, achieving clinical and biochemical euthyroidism is challenging. Therefore, developing an accurate model for predicting LT4 dosage is crucial.

The symptoms of atrial fibrillation not only significantly impacted quality of life but also associated with thrombotic events and heart failure, thereby increased risk of mortality. According to current guidelines, the initial treatment strategy for patients with atrial fibrillation is antiarrhythmic medication.

While AMs can be highly inflammatory in response to respiratory viruses, they do not mount proinflammatory responses to all airborne pathogens. For example, we previously showed that AMs fail to mount a robust proinflammatory response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

Objectives: We investigated the effect modification of health literacy (HL) in ameliorating the negative impact of underlying health conditions (UHC) on long COVID among non-hospitalized and hospitalized survivors.
Study Design: An online cross-sectional study was conducted in Vietnam from December 2021 to October 2022.
Methods: A sample of 4507 participants recruited from 18 hospitals and health centers were those aged 18 or older, had contracted COVID-19 for at least 28 days, and were not in the acute phase of reinfection.

Survivors of COVID-19 are susceptible to diminished health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and adverse psychological health, which may be exacerbated by their experiences of fear and the impact of the pandemic itself. This study aims to identify distinct fear and impact patterns related to the COVID-19 pandemic among survivors through latent profile analysis (LPA) and examine the associations of fear and impact patterns with post-traumatic stress symptoms (PTSS) and HRQoL. A total of 5,890 Vietnamese COVID-19 survivors completed the COVID-19 Impact Battery- Disability Scale (CIB-D), the Fear of COVID-19 Scale (FCoV-19 S), the Impact of Event Scale-Revised for PTSS, and the 36-Item Short Form Survey (SF-36) for HRQoL.

Species within the family have been a challenge to disentangle with being synonyms of several other species. However, complete mitochondrial genomes have been shown to be vital in distinguishing echinostomatid species, but detailed comparisons of not only gene content but also structural features have been limited.
