Objective: The aim of this study is to analyze the clinical features and genetic etiology of a patient with multiple morphological abnormalities of the sperm flagella (MMAF) retrospectively.
Methods: A severely oligospermic patient from the Reproductive Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Ningbo University was selected as the study subject. Clinical data and examination results were collected.

Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Wuziyuye Decoction in the treatment of type-II diabetes mellitus (DM) with qi-yin deficiency complicated by asthenospermia.
Methods: We selected 100 cases of type-II DM with qi-yin deficiency complicated by asthenospermia treated in the First Hospital Affiliated to Ningbo University from January 2023 to March 2024, and randomly assigned them to receive Wuziyuye Decoction (the trial group, n = 50) and oral L-carnitine solution (the control group, n = 50) in addition to Western medicine to reduce fasting blood glucose to normal in both groups. After 12 weeks of medication, we followed up the patients for 24 weeks, obtained their semen parameters, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome scores and levels of reproductive hormones, and the clinical pregnancy outcomes of their partners, followed by comparison of the data collected between the two groups before and after treatment.
Objective: To investigate the safety and efficacy of the two-channel dilatation procedure for subcutaneous tunneling in the lower abdomen during pelvic lymph node dissection for penile cancer.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 6 patients treated from January 2020 to December 2022 using the dual-channel expansion technique for penile cancer lymph node dissection.
Results: All 6 cases ( 12 sides) successfully underwent prophylactic inguinal lymph node dissection.
Abnormal expression of microRNAs (miRNAs) is frequently occurred in prostate cancer (PCa). This study was aimed to investigate the biological roles of miR-451a in PCa. Quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) and Western blot were employed to investigate the expression levels of miR-451a and proteasome (prosome, macropain) subunit, beta type, 8 (PSMB8) in PCa cell lines.

We have developed a technique in which a small "hole" is created in the inferior colliculus (IC) of rhesus monkeys, then stem cells are transplanted in situ to allow for investigation of their integration into the auditory neural network. We found that some transplanted cells differentiated into mature neurons and formed synaptic input/output connections with the host neurons.

Objective: To investigate the efficiency of perforator pedicled propeller flaps for soft tissue coverage of lower leg and foot defects.
Methods: Twenty patients (12 male, 8 females; mean age 28 years, range, 5-75) with soft tissue defects of the lower leg and foot were retrospectively reviewed. Their defects had been repaired with perforator pedicled propeller flaps from September 2011 to October 2013 and included five cases of injuries caused by spokes, four of infection with postoperative skin necrosis, two of dorsal skin defects caused by heavy objects and nine caused by car accidents.
