Background: Although the role of serum phosphorus in bone metabolism is well-established, its precise connection to bone density in different anatomical regions remains uncertain. The pelvis, a vital load-bearing structure crucial for movement and stability, has received limited attention because of its relationship with serum phosphorus. This study investigated the potential association between serum phosphorus levels and pelvic bone mineral density (BMD) in adults aged 18 to 59 years.

Study on Optimal Nitrogen Application for Different Oat Varieties in Dryland Regions of the Loess Plateau.

The present study endeavored to tackle the challenges posed by limited diversity in oat varieties and suboptimal nitrogen fertilizer utilization in the arid landscapes of the Loess Plateau. We selected three oat varieties, including early-maturing oats (E), medium-maturing oats (M), and late-maturing oats (L). In 2022, four nitrogen applications were set up as CK (0 kg N ha), N1 (60 kg N ha), N2 (90 kg N ha), and N3 (120 kg N ha).

Background: The limited radiosensitivity of osteosarcoma poses a challenge in applying radiotherapy, necessitating the search for effective radiosensitizing targets.

Methods: The lentiviral vectors were employed to establish CDKN2C-overexpressing (CDKN2C-OE) and CDKN2C-negative control (CDKN2C-NC) HOS and U2OS osteosarcoma cells. Cells were treated with or without irradiation (IR) to assess radiosensitization via viability, proliferation, apoptosis, and cell cycle analysis.
