Microwave thermal remediation (TPH) is a promising remediation method for petroleum hydrocarbon contaminated soils due to its high energy efficiency and rapid heating capacity. However, the complexity of influencing factors and their nonlinear interactions often hinder the quantitative understanding of TPH removal rates.
