Introduction: Deficiency of adenosine deaminase 2 (DADA 2) syndrome is a monogenic auto-inflammatory vasculitic syndrome caused by loss of function mutations in the ADA2 gene. Disease manifestations are divided into three major phenotypes: inflammatory/vascular, immune dysregulation, and haematologic, with majority having significant overlap between these phenotypes. The disease has undergone extensive phenotypic expansion since its first description in 2014.

Two skeleton men from the Fabrica provide the design for skeletal sculptures decorating the Dutch cemetery in the colonial port town of Pulicat, in Tamil Nadu, India. We ask what it meant to engage with these iconic images of European anatomy in a seventeenth-century trading port on the Bay of Bengal, both for those who were responsible for their production and for those who passed by the cemetery.

This retrospective study aims to evaluate the outcomes of early-stage (Stages I and II) OPSCC treated with radical radiation.
Materials And Methods: The data of patients with early-stage OPSCC (T1/T2N0) treated with definitive radiation at the Regional Cancer Center, Trivandrum, Kerala, India, from 1st January 2015 to 31st December 2020 were retrieved from medical records.
In this study, Tridax procumbens was utilized as a structural directing agent (SDA) to synthesize zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoflakes using a green method. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis confirms the hexagonal unit cell structure which is characteristic of ZnO nanoflake with a crystallite size of 17.53 nm.

Objective: We determined the efficacy of tofacitinib in patients with TAK who could not achieve or maintain stable disease despite biologic DMARDs (bDMARD-NR).
Methods: Details of consecutive patients with TAK treated with originator/generic tofacitinib at 5 centres in India were recorded retrospectively from the medical records.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is a major global health concern with significant morbidity and mortality, characterized by heterogeneity influenced by inflammation, oxidative stress, and autoimmunity. This study investigated the role of autoimmunity in stable and exacerbated COPD phenotypes using proteomic and immunological analyses to elucidate molecular mechanisms and identify potential biomarkers. Plasma samples from COPD phenotypes and healthy controls were analyzed using label-free mass spectrometry to identify differentially expressed proteins.

It is the primary contributor to death from cardiovascular (CV) disease and other medical comorbidities, as well as a major contributor to complications, deterioration in quality of life (QoL), and decline in physical and mental well-being in the elderly. One of the main challenges with aging is that islet cells become dysfunctional, and their glucose metabolism changes with increasing age.

The aim of the study was to assess the functional outcome of children who underwent Auditory verbal therapy followed by cochlear implantation using The Parents' views and experiences with pediatric cochlear implant questionnaire (PVECIQ). Hearing impaired children who have completed minimum of 5 years of auditory verbal training (AVT) after cochlear implantation was taken up for the study. There were totally 30 males and 20 females, the average age at implantation for these children ranged from 1 year to 5yrs.

Materials & Methods: Patients treated for HNC at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre between June 2016 and February 2019 were recruited. Participants completed the Cancer Survivors' Unmet Needs Measure Questionnaire (CaSUN), the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy - Head and Neck (FACT-HN) questionnaire, and the EuroQol EQ-5D-5L utility and Visual Analog Scale (EQ-5D-5L and VAS) pre-treatment and at 3, 6, 12, and 24-months post-treatment.
Idiopathic inflammatory myositis (IIM) is a heterogeneous group of immune-mediated diseases that mainly affect the skeletal muscles and skin. This case report narrates the story of a middle-aged man who presented with fever, weight loss, muscle weakness and skin rash and was treated elsewhere for probable dermatomyositis with steroids, methotrexate and rituximab. He presented to our facility with persistent fever and hyperpigmented skin rash.

The present study is a comparative cross-sectional study that identified potential biomarkers using label-free mass spectrometry and bioinformatics. Two differentially expressed proteins (DEPs), Myosin light chain 12b (Myl12b) and Mannose-binding lectin serine protease 1 (MASP1), showed increased expression in JIA patients.

Methods: Data regarding clinical presentation, treatment allocation, relapses and outcomes of patients fulfilling American College of Rheumatology (ACR) 1990 criteria for PAN in the last two decades were recorded from electronic medical records. Relapse-free survival and predictors were analysed using Kaplan-Meier survival statistics and regression analysis.

Aim: To investigate clinical outcomes in adults with type 2 diabetes (T2D) after insulin degludec/insulin aspart (IDegAsp) treatment in a real-world setting.
Methods: The 26 weeks study involved 1102 adults with T2D who were either initiated with or switched to IDegAsp according to local practice in six countries. It was an open-label, non-interventional study.

Introduction: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) warrants an early diagnosis and prompt management. Delay in diagnosis can result in repeated flares, permanent damage, and even death. There is a large variability in the time taken to diagnose SLE across the world.

These antibodies are formed as a result of autoimmune response elicited by the underlying malignancy, when proteins restricted to immune privileged neurons are presented by the tumour. Previous studies have shown presence of anti-neuronal antibodies in systemic lupus erythematosus and neuropsychiatric lupus (NPSLE) but information on individual antibodies and their pathogenic role is lacking.

Methods: Data were obtained from a prospectively maintained database comprising patients with IIM treated with RTX. Patient details were obtained at baseline, 3- and 6-months intervals, and at subsequent follow-up visits.
We report a series of three cases of transient perivascular inflammation of the carotid artery (TIPIC) syndrome in an otherwise healthy individual. We would also like to review this rare entity and compare it with other similar cases reported in the literature. Our first case was a young male with right-sided neck pain of 1-week duration with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showing right carotid perivascular inflammation which completely resolved after 2 weeks with anti-inflammatory drugs.
