Nutrients are the material basis of marine ecosystems, and understanding their levels and structures is of great significance for fully understanding marine ecosystems. Based on a survey of surface water in China's coastal waters in January 2025, this study explored the spatial heterogeneity and controlling factors of nutrient distribution in different areas of China's coastal waters. The results showed that there are significant regional variations in nutrient levels and structures, with the East China Sea exhibiting the highest concentrations of NO-N, PO-P, and SiO-Si, while the South China Sea showing the lowest levels and a distinct nitrogen-deficient signature.

Background: Transperineal prostate biopsy is gradually becoming the standard methodology for diagnosing prostate cancer because of its high accuracy and low risk of infection, but careful preparation is not always highlighted before a transperineal biopsy. we reported two cases of hair embedding during transurethral resection of the prostate following transperineal puncture biopsy with a Bard MC1820 disposable biopsy needle. Histological examination did not find the hair follicle structure required for hair growth.

In order to explore the influences of microplastics with different abundances (0.5%, 1%, and 2% of the dry weight of the soil) and different types (PP, PVC, and PE) on the moisture infiltration and evaporation of the soil, we adopted the method of indoor soil column simulation to elaborate the influences of the microplastics with different abundances and different types on the moisture accumulated infiltration time, moisture containing rate, wetting front, and evaporation characteristics, among which the A1, A2, and A3; Q1, Q2, and Q3; and Z1, Z2, and Z3 respectively represented the experimental number of PE, PVC, and PP under the abundances of 0.5%, 1%, and 2%.

Background: Findings from numerous studies have revealed that ferroptosis is closely related to tumorigenesis and immune cell infiltration. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are reportedly involved in the progression of various cancers, including prostate cancer (PCa). This study was designed to establish a ferroptosis-related lncRNA (frlncRNA) signature to predict PCa prognosis.

Objective: Sunitinib is a first-line drug in the treatment of metastatic renal cell carcinoma, but patients will inevitably develop drug resistance after 6-15 months of systematic treatment, which seriously affects the prognosis in KIRC.

Methods: During the study, the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database was used to perform a systematic bioinformatics analysis,so that we could determine the genes (DEGs) which are differentially expressed between sunitinib-sensitive and sunitinib-resistant RCC (SRRC) cells.

Results: A total of 31 DEGs were identified.
