Study Design: We surveyed a sample of 446 publicly supported family planning clinics in the United States.
Results: Most clinics offer some services via telehealth, but provision varies widely by clinic type, with Planned Parenthood clinics offering telehealth most frequently, and by service, with certain contraceptive services, sexually transmitted infections (STI) testing and treatment, and medication abortion less frequently available than messaging services.
This study evaluated the impact of parallel-level patient transfers on bed utilization efficiency within the Mayo Clinic Health System in Southern Minnesota, focusing on optimizing resources across tertiary and critical access hospitals. A retrospective analysis of 179,066 Emergency Department visits (2018-2022) was conducted, with ~2% involving parallel-level transfers for observation or admission. Machine learning was utilized to identify patients suitable for parallel transfers based on demographics, comorbidities, and clinical factors.

Abortion bans and restrictions may have ripple effects on other forms of sexual and reproductive health care such as contraception provision. While only a small proportion of publicly supported sexual and reproductive health clinics offer abortion care, many are likely experiencing direct and indirect impacts of the June 2022 Supreme Court decision. We analyzed data from a national survey of 446 clinics conducted between November 2022 and December 2023 to understand provision of pregnancy options counseling, miscarriage management, and abortion, as well as perceived changes in patient demand for contraception, abortion referrals, and pregnancy options counseling.

Introduction: Copy number-low (CNL) endometrial cancer (EC), also known as no specific molecular profile (NSMP), is the most heterogeneous molecular subtype. In this study, we evaluated the prognostic significance of estrogen receptor (ER) and PTEN expression in primary untreated CNL/NSMP ECs across all histologic subtypes to further refine risk stratification within this heterogeneous group.
Methods: We identified a total of 1835 CNL/NSMP ECs that underwent clinical sequencing of 410-468 cancer-related genes.
Objectives: The prognostic significance of positive pelvic washings in endometrial cancer (EC) remains unknown, and little data exist regarding washings as a source of genetic information in relation to a patient's tumor. We sought to assess the feasibility of identifying EC mutations in peritoneal washings.
Methods: Peritoneal washings from 21 biopsy-confirmed newly diagnosed patients with EC across disease stages between 09/2018 and 07/2019 were collected.

Objective: Undifferentiated and dedifferentiated endometrial carcinomas are rare and clinically aggressive variants of the disease. We sought to define the molecular subtypes and genetic alterations affecting cancer-related genes of these rare histologic endometrial cancer types.
Methods: Patients with undifferentiated/dedifferentiated endometrial cancer subjected to clinical tumor-normal panel sequencing between January 1, 2014, to June 1, 2023, were retrospectively identified, and relevant demographic and clinicopathologic data were extracted from medical records.
The multi-center, international consortium on endometrial cancer held in January 2025 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota brought together leading experts in gynecologic oncology to explore the latest advancements in the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of endometrial cancer. Discussions centered on key topics, including updates in molecular testing and disease staging, emerging treatment strategies for advanced and recurrent disease, fertility-sparing management, and critical pathology challenges, particularly, the assessment of lympho-vascular space invasion. Each topic was examined in dedicated working group sessions, fostering in-depth exchanges to identify research priorities and develop actionable strategies.

Methods: In July 2022, we mailed a survey that included a validated 13-item lower extremity lymphedema screening questionnaire to patients who underwent lymph node evaluation at the time of primary surgery for the 2018 International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics stage IA1 to IIB cervical cancer between January 1, 2006, and January 31, 2019. We excluded patients diagnosed with lower extremity lymphedema prior to surgery and those who answered ≤6 survey items, and we carried out 2 group comparisons: sentinel lymph node mapping vs lymphadenectomy with or without sentinel lymph node mapping, and patients with lower extremity lymphedema vs patients without.
The purpose of this work is to evaluate the feasibility of lung imaging using 3D electrical impedance tomography (EIT) during spontaneous breathing trials (SBTs) in patients with acute hypoxic respiratory failure. EIT is a noninvasive, nonionizing, real-time functional imaging technique, suitable for bedside monitoring in critically ill patients. EIT data were collected in 24 mechanically ventilated patients immediately preceding and during a SBT on two rows of 16 electrodes using a simultaneous multicurrent source EIT system for 3D imaging.

Several leading clinical societies, including the European Society of Gynecological Oncology, the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology, the European Society of Pathology, and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology, have published evidence-based guidelines on fertility-sparing strategies and post-treatment surveillance of patients with early-stage gynecologic cancers, in particular endometrial and cervical cancers. These guidelines highlight MRI as essential to initial patient selection and follow-up.

Objective: To examine the risk of sentinel lymph node (SLN) metastases in apparent uterine-confined endometrial cancer (EC) using molecular classification with clinicopathologic features and assess oncologic outcomes by molecular subtypes with micro- or macro-metastases in SLN.
Methods: Patients undergoing surgical staging for presumed uterine-confined EC of any histology, with successful bilateral SLN mapping were included. Primary tumors were assigned molecular subtypes using a published algorithm.
