Objectives: This systematic review aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of co-created lifestyle interventions in modifying health behaviour, and mental/physical health outcomes in individuals with non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

Study Design: A systematic review of Randomized Control Trials (RCTs).

Methods: A systematic search of nine databases from inception until March 2023 was performed, plus weekly email alerts of new literature until March 2025.

Normative Peak Physical Activity Values for Monitor-Independent Movement Summary Units: National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2011-2014.

Background: The most recent physical activity (PA) monitor data from the US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) were processed using a novel monitor-independent movement summary (MIMS) algorithm. To date, few studies have utilized these data, likely due to a general unfamiliarity with MIMS-related metrics. The purpose of this study was to establish normative values for peak MIMS metrics as measures of free-living PA intensity and natural ambulatory effort.

Personality Traits and Health Behaviors as Predictors of Fall Among Community-Dwelling Older Adults: Findings From the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging.

To examine whether personality traits and health behaviors predict falls in community-dwelling older adults. Longitudinal data from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging (CLSA) at baseline (2011-2015) and follow-up two (2018-2021) were analyzed using logistic regression for 5270 adults aged 65 and older, with an alpha level of 0.05.

A systematic review on the effects of non-pharmacological interventions for fatigue among people with upper and/or lower limb osteoarthritis.

Objectives: To identify non-pharmacological fatigue interventions and determine the effectiveness of these non-pharmacological interventions in reducing fatigue immediately and over time in OA.

Methods: A review protocol (CRD42020163730) was developed and registered with the PROSPERO database. Included studies comprised peer-reviewed randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that examined the effects of conservative interventions on fatigue in people with upper and lower limb OA.

Exploring the relationship between falls, fall-related psychological concerns, and personality traits in adults: A scoping review protocol.

Background And Aims: Personality traits, such as neuroticism and extraversion, are emerging as important predictors of falls. Despite their significance, existing fall prevention programs often overlook these traits, creating a notable research gap. This study aims to conduct a comprehensive scoping review to explore the existing literature on the relationships among personality traits, falls, and fall-related psychological concerns (FrPCs).

Determinants of the managerial staff's disposition towards e-payment platforms in public tertiary hospitals in Enugu, Nigeria: a cross-sectional study.

Background: Many Nigerians pay out-of-pocket for their health care, and some hospitals have started utilising e-payment systems to increase transactional efficiency. The study investigated the type and usage of e-payment platforms in public hospitals and the factors that may influence the managerial staff's disposition towards using the e-payment system.

Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional survey of 300 managerial staff within the four public tertiary hospitals in Enugu, Nigeria, through proportionate quota sampling.

A Mapping Review on the Uptake of the COVID-19 Vaccine among Adults in Africa Using the 5A's Vaccine Taxonomy.

Uptake of a vaccine is complete if individuals are aware of the associated risks of the vaccine, accept the vaccine, and respond positively to the nudges (activation) to increase the uptake, and respond when the vaccine is made accessible and affordable. We mapped systematically the existing literature concerning the 5As-acceptability, accessibility, affordability, awareness, and activation-of COVID-19 vaccination among adults and, specifically, older adults (55 years and older) in Africa. We searched multiple databases from 2020 to December 2021.

Setting priorities for ageing research in Africa: A systematic mapping review of 512 studies from sub-Saharan Africa.

Background: In 2040, the older population's growth rate in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) will be faster than those experienced by developed nations since 1950. In preparation for this growth, the National Institute on Aging commissioned the National Academies' Committee on Population to organize a workshop on advancing aging research in Africa. This meeting provided a platform for discussing some areas requiring improvement in aging research in SSA regions.
