Anticancer, anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities of aminoalcohol-based quinoxaline small molecules.

Purpose: Bioactive molecules are relevant to fight cancer and associated conditions. Quinoxaline is a privileged N-heterocycle, notably as anticancer agents. Herein, we report the evaluation of the quinoxaline derivatives DEQX and OAQX as anticancer agents, as well as in function of their anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities.

High M2-TAM Infiltration and STAT3/NF-κB Signaling Pathway as a Predictive Factor for Tumor Progression and Death in Cervical Cancer.

Introduction: The tumor microenvironment (TME) plays a crucial role in the progression, invasion, and metastasis of cervical carcinoma (CC). Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) are significant components of the CC TME, but studies on their correlation with CC progression are still controversial. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between TAM infiltration, the STAT3/NF-κB signaling pathway, and Overall Survival (OS) in CC patients.

Performance of clinical metagenomics in France: a prospective observational study.

Background: Metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) allows untargeted identification of a broad range of pathogens, including rare or novel microorganisms. Despite the recognition of mNGS as a valuable diagnostic tool for infections, the most relevant indications for this innovative strategy remain poorly defined. We aimed to assess the determinants of positivity and clinical utility of mNGS.

Contribution of PCR to Differential Diagnosis between Patients with Whipple Disease and Tropheryma whipplei Carriers.

Differentiation between Whipple disease (WD) patients and patients carrying Tropheryma whipplei but suffering from disease other than WD ("carriers") remains complex. We aimed to evaluate T. whipplei PCR among patients with WD and carriers in a large cohort at our referral clinical microbiology laboratory.
