Background: Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is a major cause of end-stage renal disease, with mitochondrial dysfunction-mediated tubular injury implicated in its pathogenesis. Mitochondria-associated membranes (MAMs) coordinate apoptosis and autophagy in diabetic tubular injury. While Schisandra chinensis Mixture (SM) shows renoprotective effects, its mechanism in counteracting hyperglycemia-induced tubular cell death and fibrosis via MAMs integrity remains unclear.

As a newly updated comprehensive index for assessing cardiovascular health (CVH), Life's essential 8 (LE8) has the potential to serve as a practical tool for evaluating the risk of diabetic kidney disease (DKD). We are committed to exploring the relationship between LE8 and its subscales with DKD in diabetic patients, aiming to provide preliminary evidence for the formulation of clinical strategies.

This study aims to explore the relationship between OBS and the risk of chronic kidney disease (CKD).
Methods: This cross-sectional study included nationally representative National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) participants aged 18 and above from 2005 to 2018.
Background: Exercise therapy can effectively manage chronic kidney disease (CKD) risk factors and improve renal function and physical fitness, but the challenge lies in choosing the right exercise type tailored to patients' condition.
Methods: An electronic search of databases including PubMed, The Cochrane Library, EMBASE, Web of Science, VIP, WanFang, and CNKI was performed. The random effects model was used.

Background: Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is currently recognized as one of the most serious diabetic microangiopathies and a major cause of adult blindness. Commonly used clinical approaches include etiological control, microvascular improvement, and surgical intervention, but they are ineffective and have many side effects. Oral Chinese medicine (OCM) has been used for thousands of years to treat DR and is still widely used today, but it is unclear which OCM is more effective for DR.

Methods: Using a genome-wide association study of 41 serum cytokines from 8,293 Finnish individuals, we conducted a bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis. In addition, we genetically predicted causal associations between inflammatory factors and 5 phenotypes, including CKD, estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), dialysis, rapid progression of CKD, and rapid decline in eGFR.
Objective: To systematically evaluate the effectiveness of Traditional Chinese Medicine Cutaneous Regions Therapy (TCMCRT) as an adjunctive treatment for chronic heart failure.
Methods: China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Wanfang database, China Science and Technology Journal Database (VIP), Chinese BioMedical Literature Database (CBM), Cochrane Library, PubMed, Web of Science, and EMBASE database were searched to screen randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of TCMCRT for chronic heart failure versus conventional western treatment for chronic heart failure. The Cochrane Risk of Bias Collaboration tool was used to assess the risk of bias in RCTs.
Background: Coronary heart disease (CHD) and lacunar infarction (LI) are the most common cardio- cerebrovascular complications of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and a recognized risk factor for renal injury. Although a unidirectional association of CHD or LI with T2DM or the kidney has been demonstrated, however, it remains unknown whether there is an interactive effect of the coexistence of CHD and LI on renal function in T2DM patients. The aim of our study was to investigate the interaction between CHD and LI on renal function in gender-specific patients with T2DM and the association between cardio-cerebrovascular disease-related conventional serum markers and the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR).

However, it is unclear whether this association reflects a causal relationship.
Objective: To assess the potential direct effect of thyroid characteristics on DKD and DR based on Mendelian randomization (MR).
Background: Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is a major cause of end-stage renal disease (ESRD), and inflammation is the main causative mechanism. fruit Mixture (SM) is an herbal formulation that has been used for a long time to treat DKD. However, its pharmacological and molecular mechanisms have not been clearly elucidated.

The inflammatory response plays a critical role in DN. Schisandra Chinensis Mixture (SM) has shown promising clinical efficacy in the treatment of DN while the pharmacological mechanisms are still unclear.

Background: Chinese medicine injections (CMIs) are widely used in the prevention and treatment of cardiotoxicity caused by anthracycline chemotherapeutic drugs. However, it is uncertain that CMIs are more effective in combating the cardiotoxicity of anthracyclines. The aim of this Network Meta-analysis (NMA) was to compare the treatment effects of various CMIs in order to determine the best CMI for the prevention and treatment of cardiac damage from anthracyclines.

Background: Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is the most important cause of the end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and the main cause of renal replacement therapy. Excessive inflammatory response and renal fibrosis are the keys to the development of this disease, and the conventional Western medical treatment is difficult to achieve and obtain long-term stable clinical results in all patients with DKD. Many studies have shown that Chinese medicine as a complementary and alternative medicine may be another therapeutic option to mitigate the progression of DKD to ESRD.
