Dendritic cells (DCs) transduced with replication-deficient, wild-type human p53-expressing adenovirus Ad-p53 (Ad-p53 DCs) induce p53-targeting cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs). However, the antitumor efficacy of Ad-p53 DCs is diminished by weak p53 immunogenicity in tumor cells and poor immune responses. We developed a p53-armed oncolytic adenovirus, OBP-702, to induce tumor-specific p53 expression and antitumor immune response, suggesting a role for OBP-702 in enhancing the antitumor efficacy of Ad-p53 DCs.

Introduction: Inter-set rest intervals are essential to reduce muscle fatigue and increase the total amount of volume of resistance training. Static stretching and walking may increase muscle blood flow and promote recovery during inter-set rest intervals. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of 20 seconds of static stretching and walking during inter-set rest intervals of leg extension exercises on the number of repetitions to exhaustion, total amount of volume, and flexibility of the quadriceps (joint range of motion and muscle hardness) in untrained healthy males.

Since CTCAE by medical providers underestimates AE more than patient-reported outcomes (PRO), the National Cancer Institute developed PRO-CTCAE. The present study investigated differences between symptoms detected using CTCAE by medical providers and PRO-CTCAE by breast cancer patients.

Background: Mastectomy has been the standard surgical treatment for ipsilateral breast tumor recurrence (IBTR). Recently, there has been growing interest in repeat breast-conserving surgery (rBCS) for IBTR among breast surgeons; however, there is currently little information regarding patient preferences for surgical procedure for IBTR. The purpose of this study was to evaluate preference for surgical procedure (mastectomy vs.

We studied whether anti-tubercular agents inhibit acid-fast bacteria growth on agar plates. First, the antimicrobial activities of isoniazid, ethionamide, and ethambutol were evaluated against Mycobacterium and Legionella.

Between 2004 and 2020, 46 DLBCL patients received HDC/ASCT in our institution, including 12 patients (26.1%), who received as an upfront setting (UFS).

The current study investigated the predictive and prognostic value of intratumoral heterogeneity and conventional clinicopathological factors in patients with ER+HER2+ breast cancer.

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between ALC changes during neoadjuvant chemotherapy for human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2)-positive breast cancer patients and disease prognosis.
Patients And Methods: This retrospective cohort study January 2010 to September 2020) included patients diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer and treated with trastuzumab-based neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
Background: Extensive vaccination programs are being implemented worldwide for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). With the spread of vaccination, swelling of the lymph nodes after vaccination is frequently seen. We encountered a patient who developed left axillary lymphadenoma following vaccine administration.

A 50-year-old female patient underwent (fluorine-fluorodeoxyglucose (F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) following modified radical mastectomy for cancer of the left breast. Ten days before the PET/CT, the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) vaccine was injected intramuscularly into the right deltoid muscle. Increased (F-FDG uptake of maximum standardized uptake value (11.

The present study aimed to determine whether cartilaginous tissue could be produced from iPSCs under hypoxia and, if so, to evaluate its effects on cellular metabolism and purity of the produced tissue. Human iPSCs (hiPSCs) were cultured for cartilage differentiation in monolayers under normoxia or hypoxia (5% O), and chondrocyte differentiation was evaluated using reverse transcription‑quantitative PCR and fluorescence‑activated cell sorting.

The resumption of blood flow is an important factor in the remodeling process of the graft. The purpose of this study is to evaluate hemodynamic changes after medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction using magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) as the evaluation of graft remodeling. Eleven knees that underwent anatomical MPFL reconstruction with the semitendinosus tendon were studied.

Treatments of DIP requires interruption of breast cancer treatment, which may affect the patient's prognosis. However, there are few reports which discuss DIP during breast cancer treatments.

A state space model is a probabilistic graphical model for time-series data, which describes the probabilistic dependence between latent variables at subsequent times and between latent variables and observations. Since, in many situations, the values of the parameters in the state space model are unknown, estimating the parameters from observations is an important task.

The aim of this study was to identify molecular biomarkers that can predict prognosis in RB-treated patients in the context of the prospective cohort. We first analyzed the mutational status of 410 genes in diagnostic tumor specimens by target capture and Sanger sequencing.

We report a case of tibial condylar valgus osteotomy (TCVO) for ipsilateral knee osteoarthritis (OA) after hip arthrodesis. A 58-year-old woman developed right purulent hip arthritis at one month of age and underwent right hip fusion at 16 years old. She visited our department at the age of 57 because her right knee joint pain worsened.

To investigate the effects of treadmill running on two different types of skeletal muscle, we established a rat model of collagen-induced arthritis (CIA). The skeletal muscles studied were the extensor digitorum longus (EDL), which is rich in fast-twitch muscle fibers, and the soleus, which is rich in slow-twitch muscle fibers. The histological and transcriptional changes in these muscles at 14 and 44 days after immunosensitization were compared between rats that were forced to exercise (CIA ex group) and free-reared CIA rats (CIA no group).

We investigated the effects of hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1α on articular cartilage under mechanical stimulation and the associated mechanisms. Chondrocytes, isolated from articular cartilage from the knee, hip, and shoulder joints of Wistar rats, were subjected to 20 % tensile stress under hypoxic (5% O) conditions for 24 h. HIF-1α and aggrecan expression was significantly enhanced with mechanical stimulation under hypoxia but not significantly altered with mechanical stimulation under normoxia.

HIF-1α, which is expressed in hypoxia, is reversely suppressed in sustained hypoxia. Here, we investigated the inhibitory effect of hypoxia on arthritis by controlling HIF-1α.
