Background: Jejunal diverticulitis is one of the rare causes of acute abdomen generally seen in the elderly. Jejunal diverticulosis was defined as the herniation of the mucosa and the submucosa from the inside of the muscular layer of the bowel wall on the mesenteric side of the intestine.
Case Report: We presented the intraoperative and pathological findings of a 69-year-old male patient who had presented with complaints about abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting and been operated upon due to subileus and peritonitis induced by large-sized jejunal diverticulitis, along with his computed tomography (CT) findings.

Brain parenchyma herniation into dural venous sinus which is a uncommon entity, can cause dural venous sinus filling and simulate sinus thrombosis and other pathologies. It is isointense to brain parenchyma on all sequences by magnetic resonance imaging, surrounded by a cerebrospinal fluid rim and is seen to be contiguous with brain tissue on images. We report a rare case with spontaneous occult herniation of temporal lobe tissue into the left transverse sinus that may associated with headache.

Objective: To determine and compare the diagnostic accuracy of 3-dimensional ultrasound (3D US) and magnetic resonance imagining (MRI) in patients with surgically diagnosed Mullerian duct anomaly (MDA).
Study Design: Charts of patients with MDA were retrospectively evaluated. Patients who underwent both laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery and had 3D US and MRI examinations were included in the study.

Objectives: This study aims to investigate the sonoelastography (SE), B-mode sonography, and color Doppler sonography findings of the pleomorphic adenomas and Warthin tumors of the parotid gland.
Patients And Methods: A total of 84 parotid masses (23 pleomorphic adenomas, 25 Warthin tumors) in 72 patients (37 males, 35 females; mean age 59 years; range 30 to 79 years) were retrospectively analyzed. For each lesion, B-mode sonography, color Doppler sonography, and SE images were evaluated.
Bloody tear is a rare and distinct clinic phenomenon. We report a case presenting with the complaint of recurrent episodes of bilateral bloody tearing. A 16-year-old girl presented to our clinic with complaint of bloody tearing in both eyes for 3 months.

Congenital agenesis of the submandibular gland is uncommon. We report dynamic sonography and CT findings of the unilateral submandibular gland agenesis associated with herniated hypertrophic sublingual gland tissue through the mylohyoid gap. The dynamic sonography examination applied at rest and during the modified Valsalva maneuver demonstrated hypertrophied sublingual gland prolapsing to the anterior part through the mylohyoid gap.

Focal orbital amyloidosis is a rare entity and little is known about its magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) features. In this case report, imaging features of a case of focal orbital amyloidosis presenting as a mass have been documented together with its histopathological findings. On MRI, a well-defined mass was seen as isointense with rectus muscle on T1-weighted images and heterogeneously hypointense on T2-weighted images.

Objective: The aim of this study was to determine whether the use of a scoring method by sonoelastography in solid breast masses is helpful in differentiating benign and malignant lesions.
Material And Methods: One hundred and eighty solid breast masses in 155 patients (147 benign, 33 malignant) were prospectively evaluated in a two-year period. For each lesion, B-mode sonography and sonoelastography images were obtained.

Objectives: Our aim was to investigate whether the use of a qualitative elasticity scoring method by sonoelastography is beneficial for management of salivary gland masses.
Methods: Thirty-six patients with salivary gland masses (30 parotid and 6 sub-mandibular) were prospectively included in this study. For each lesion, B-mode sonographic and sonoelastographic images were obtained.

Objectives: Our purpose was to determine whether the combination of a qualitative elasticity scoring method and a semiquantitative strain index method by sonoelastography is useful for differentiating between benign and malignant breast masses.
Methods: Seventy-eight lesions in 71 consecutive patients with solid breast masses (62 benign and 16 malignant) were prospectively included in this study. For each lesion, B-mode sonographic and sonoelastographic images were obtained.

Metaplastic Warthin tumor is a rarely seen subtype of Warthin tumor. It can resemble squamous carcinomas histopathologically, because it contains atypical squamous cells on the necrotic surface. Making a diagnosis can become easier by knowing this entity of Warthin tumor well and by correlating the radiologic findings with pathology.

Objective: To evaluate the usefulness of extended-field-of-view 2-dimensional ultrasonography technique in superficial lesions.
Methods: During a 6-month period, 44 patients with superficial lesions on various parts of their bodies were evaluated with extended-field-of-view ultrasonography in addition to routine traditional 2-dimensional ultrasonography. If the diagnosis could not be made without the extended-field-of-view images, it was considered diagnostic.

Introduction: Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is the most common type of vertigo. It is frequently seen in elderly patients, and the course of the attack may easily mimic cerebrovascular disease. A BPPV attack after a radiologic examination has not been reported previously.

Objective: Our aim was to research the enhancement features of parotid gland masses in detail and characterize if the masses were Warthin tumors, adenomas, or malignant tumors.
Methods: The prospective study included 25 parotid tumors in 21 patients. Neck computed tomography (CT) was performed using a multislice CT unit.
PURPOSE Our purpose was to evaluate cerebral glioma grade by using normal side creatine (Cr) as an internal reference in multi-voxel 1H-MR spectroscopy. MATERIALS AND METHODS We examined 25 adult patients with glial brain tumors. Ratios of maximum Cho/Cr (normal) (max- Cho/Cr(n)) and minimum NAA/Cr(normal) (min-NAA/ Cr(n)) were determined using Cr levels in the normal parenchyma.

We presented two patients who were admitted with a painless mass in the parotid region and diagnosed to have a lymphoma. Physical examination of a 66-year-old male patient showed a relatively mobile, painless, and firm mass at the inferior aspect of the right parotid gland.

In this report we present a case of pathologically proven radiation necrosis which appeared as nodular contrast enhancement on conventional MR images in a patient who was surgically treated for grade II astrocytoma 5 years ago. There were decreased choline, creatine and N-acetyl aspartate peaks and significantly increased lipid peak on multivoxel H1-MR spectroscopy while there was no significant perfusion increase on MR perfusion.

Conventional magnetic resonance and computed tomography imaging, despite their sensitivity in delineating tissue anatomy and detecting head and neck pathology, are nonspecific in their ability to physiologically characterize abnormal tissue. The perfusion imaging attempts to measure the steady-state delivery of blood to a given parenchymal region. In this article, the technique of magnetic resonance perfusion and computed tomographic perfusion is discussed in addition to the pitfalls and problems in the light of the latest literature and our own experience.

Complex composite odontoma is a rare benign odontogenic hamartoma seen in association with a primary tooth. Although it is seen most frequently between 10-19 years of age, here we present a lesion of unusual size in the mandible of a 6-year-old boy and report its clinical, radiographic, CT and histologic findings. Also, we discuss the value of three dimensional images.

Acute embolic occlusion of the superior mesenteric artery is associated with a high mortality rate. Selective thrombolytic therapy appears to be effective in the treatment of mesenteric thromboembolism particularly in elderly patients with a high operative risk. We describe a case of subacute mesenteric artery occlusion in a 69-year-old man treated successfully by selective intraarterial infusion of urokinase two days after he became symptomatic.
