Introduction: This in vitro study evaluated the validity and reliability of spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) to detect approximal carious lesions compared to bitewing radiography.

Methods: Forty extracted human premolars and molars with fifty-four unrestored approximal surfaces (ICDAS ll score 0-3) were mounted in a patient-equivalent simulator and imaged by digital radiography (DR) and the prototype of an intraoral OCT probe. Study Objectives: Onera Health has developed the first wireless, patch-based, type-II polysomnography (PSG) system, the Onera Sleep Test System, to allow studies to be performed unattended at the patient's home or in any bed at a medical facility. The goal of this multicenter study was to validate data collected from the patch-based PSG to a traditional PSG for sleep staging and apnea-hypopnea index.

Aortic dissection and rupture are the major causes of premature death in persons with Marfan syndrome (MFS), a rare genetic disorder featuring cardiovascular, skeletal, and ocular impairments. We and others have found that obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) confers significant vascular stress in this population and may accelerate aortic disease progression. We hypothesized that D-dimer, a diagnostic biomarker for several types of vascular injury that is also elevated in persons with MFS with aortic enlargement, may be sensitive to cardiovascular stresses caused by OSA.
