Background: To identify the factors influencing pyrotinib-induced severe diarrhea and to establish a risk prediction nomogram model.
Methods: The clinical data of 226 patients received pyrotinib from two medical institutions from January 2019 to December 2023 were analysed retrospectively. A training set was made up of 167 patients from Hainan Cancer Hospital, and the external validation set was made up of 59 patients from Hainan West Central Hospital.

Current study was to evaluate whether the nurse-led program can improve glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) control and reduce the incidence of microalbuminuria in type 2 diabetic mellitus (DM2) populations. A total of 150 DM2 subjects were randomly assigned to the usual-care group and nurse-led program group. Study endpoints included the HbA1c value, the percentage of subjects with HbA1c < 7.

Methods: This was a cross-sectional study, and patients with breast cancer were included.
The association between serum total cholesterol (TC) level and incident atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) in patients with follicular thyroid cancer postthyroidectomy is unknown. This was a retrospective study and patients (n = 384) were divided into low and high TC groups according to the median TC level. Incidence of composite ASCVD (myocardial infarction, ischemic stroke, and cardiovascular death) was compared between these 2 groups and factors contributing to the association of TC and ASCVD were evaluated.

Current study was to evaluate the effectiveness of nurse-led program in improving mental health status (MHS) and quality of life (QOL) in chronic heart failure (CHF) patients after an acute exacerbation. CHF patients were enrolled after informed consent was obtained and were assigned into the control and treatment group. Patients in the control group received standard care.

We previously showed that Hsp60sp-specific CD8 T cells are involved in the immunoregulation of autoimmune diseases by controlling the response of self-reactive lymphocytes. Here, we report that Hsp60sp-specific CD8 T cells killed malignant lymphocytes in vitro independently of transporter associated with antigen processing (TAP) and classical MHC-I expression.

The current study was to evaluate soluble ST-2 level and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) in patients with breast cancer receiving doxorubicin or trastuzumab treatment for 6 months and determine whether soluble ST-2 level can be used to predictive left ventricular function impairment.Patients who were diagnosed as having breast cancer receiving doxorubicin or trastuzumab or combined therapy were enrolled. Demographic data, prior medical history and related medical therapy, and site and stage of breast cancer information were collected from electronic health record.
