Urethral complications following urethral lengthening in transgender men, such as strictures and fistulas, are common and frequently necessitate secondary surgical interventions. These surgeries vary significantly in their techniques and are evaluated with considerable heterogeneity, making a synthesized presentation of their outcomes valuable for guiding clinical management. This systematic review included 14 studies selected through a database search (Medline, Embase, Web of Science) that reported urethral complications after urethral lengthening.

We analyzed the temporal changes in overall prostate cancer detection rates and clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa) detection rates.
Methods: We retrospectively enrolled consecutive patients with clinically suspected prostate cancer (PCa) who underwent MRI/US fusion prostate biopsy at a single center from January 2019 to December 2022.
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a common cause of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in aging men, significantly impacting quality of life. Although pharmacological therapies, especially alpha-blockers, are the standard first-line treatment, their long-term adherence is limited by side effects and insufficient symptom control. Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) remains the surgical gold standard but is associated with notable morbidity, prompting interest in minimally invasive alternatives.

Introduction: Leydig cell tumors (LCTs) are rare testicular neoplasms that account for a small proportion of testicular tumors and are often diagnosed incidentally or on investigation of infertility or hormonal symptoms. Despite their generally benign behaviour, a small percentage may have malignant potential, which poses a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge due to the lack of standardizedguidelines.
Materials And Methods: We retrospectively analysed four casesof histologically confirmed LCTs diagnosed and treated at a single institution between 2000 and 2024.

Background And Objective: Persistent urinary dribbling in girls with duplex renal systems and ectopic ureters originating from poorly functioning renal moieties represents a complex clinical problem in pediatric urology. The incontinence associated with these anomalies is socially distressing and often refractory to conservative management. Traditional surgical options, including upper pole heminephrectomy or ureteroureterostomy, are effective but may be associated with significant operative morbidity, particularly when renal function is negligible and surgical access is challenging.

No prior study has assessed urologists' ability to interpret PSMA-PET.
Methods: We conducted a multicenter prospective study involving 63 urologists from eight Italian institutions.

Prostate cancer (PCa) with unconventional histologies (UHs) is not infrequent and may be associated with different prognosis compared with conventional PCa depending on the type, subtype, or pattern considered. A recent World Health Organization update recommends UHs to be reported on biopsy and final pathology. Our study aimed to assess the incidence and reporting attitudes of PCa UHs at tertiary referral institutions.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFProstate cancer (PCa) is a major global health concern. It ranks as the fifth leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. While localized PCa is often indolent, with a nearly 100% five-year survival rate, prognosis worsens significantly in metastatic disease, where survival drops to approximately 30%.

However, it can also lead to urological complications, necessitating specialized attention. The aim of this scoping review is to summarize the current evidence regarding the urological manifestations of Mpox, possible complications, and available treatments.

Methods: Sixteen urologists participated in a 2-day course at a tertiary center to assess the utility of an FFC model for ultrasound-guided supine PCNL. After the procedure, the participants completed a 24-question evaluation of the FFC model using a 5-point Likert scale.

Introduction: The metastatic spread of cancer to the penis is a very rare clinical entity generally associated with disseminated disease and poor prognosis. The aim of this paper was to show the outcomes of a series of patients treated for metastatic cancer to the penis and enhance the understanding and the management of penile metastasis in order to improve patients' care and outcomes.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the medical records of 31 patients diagnosed with metastatic cancer to the penis and treated at eight Ligurian urological departments between January 2014 and January 2024.

Background And Objective: In recent studies, prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) has shown accuracy in staging patients diagnosed with prostate cancer. Here, we aim to evaluate the correlation between PSMA immunohistochemical characteristics of prostate cancer (PCa)-positive biopsy cores and whole-mount specimens, and test the predictive role of PSMA expression in biopsy samples for staging PSMA PET/CT.
Methods: A total of 104 patients with high- or intermediate-risk PCa who underwent [68Ga]Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT before radical prostatectomy were prospectively selected between June 2021 and July 2023.
This study aimed to evaluate functional outcomes and anterograde ejaculation rates in patients undergoing monopolar, unilateral transurethral incision of the prostate (TUIP) with "Z" shaped incision with ejaculatory sphincter sparing for primary bladder neck obstruction (PBNO) in a case series performed by a single surgeon. Between December 2018 and July 2023, data from patients who underwent monopolar, unilateral TUIP were prospectively collected. Patients with a prostate volume of less than 30 mL were included.
