Importance: The long-term effectiveness of Helicobacter pylori eradication programs for preventing gastric cancer will depend on recurrence risk and individual and community factors.
Objective: To estimate risk of H. pylori recurrence and assess factors associated with successful eradication 1 year after treatment.
The patient was a 15-year-old adolescent male who was referred to a physical therapist for a chief complaint of bilateral posterolateral lower-leg pain, which was worse in the right lower extremity than in the left. Due to findings that were concerning for a stress fracture, the patient was referred to a pediatric sports medicine physician. Subsequent radiographs revealed findings that were concerning for a stress fracture along the medial aspect of the midshaft of the right fibula.

Methods: Data are from the initial screening visit of a randomized clinical trial of three antibiotic regimens to eradicate H. pylori, conducted in seven sites (Santiago-Chile, Túquerres-Colombia, Guanacaste-Costa Rica, Copán-Honduras, Obregón and Tapachula-México, León-Nicaragua).

Methods: 428 consecutive patients with 491 intracranial aneurysms (274 acutely ruptured and 217 unruptured) treated with conventional coil embolization (CCE) or with BACE were retrospectively reviewed.
Increasingly, breast cancer is being recognized as a heterogeneous disease comprised of molecularly and phenotypically distinct intrinsic tumor subtypes with different clinical outcomes. This biological heterogeneity has significant implications, particularly as it relates to expression profiling of estrogen receptor (ER) status, as classifying breast cancers based on hormone receptor expression impacts not only prognosis but also treatment options and long-term outcomes. Epigenetics has emerged as a promising field for the assessment of hormone receptor status.

Aerobic bacteria remove the acyl side chain from phenylpropanoids to leave an aromatic aldehyde, which then enters one of several possible central pathways of benzene ring degradation.
