Background: Chronic liver disease (CLD) is a major global health concern, closely linked with metabolic disorders such as obesity and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
Objective: To examine the association between adherence to a Diabetes Risk Reduction Diet (DRRD) and mortality from CLD in a prospective adult cohort.
Methods: This prospective cohort study was conducted at the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute, Lahore, Pakistan, and the DHQ (District Headquarter) Hospital, Bagh, AJK, Pakistan, from January 2023 to June 2023.

Background: Jamestown Canyon virus (JCV) is an emerging arboviral pathogen transmitted by mosquitoes in the United States and Canada. It is associated with neuroinvasive diseases and a wide spectrum of clinical presentations.
Methods: A retrospective chart review was conducted at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Northwest Wisconsin from January 2018 to December 2024, analyzing data from 12 hospitalized patients diagnosed with JCV infection.
Background: The amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation (ALFF) obtained by resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) has been widely used to measure cerebral intrinsic neural activity in major depressive disorder (MDD). The primary objective is to investigate alterations in cerebral intrinsic activity, as measured by ALFF, in first-episode, drug-naive patients with MDD of relatively short illness duration, and to examine correlations between ALFF and clinical measures.
Methodology: This cross-sectional observational study was conducted at the University of Health Sciences, Lahore, from June 2024 to January 2025.
Iron deficiency anemia (IDA) during pregnancy is a global public health concern, associated with significant maternal and neonatal complications. Intravenous (IV) iron therapy has emerged as a potential alternative to oral iron for rapid correction of anemia, but its impact on clinical outcomes remains unclear. This meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of IV iron compared to oral iron in improving maternal and neonatal outcomes during pregnancy.
