Objective: The main study objective was to develop a novel shoulder dystocia (SD) prediction score using ultrasound-based head-perineum distance measured before an operative vaginal delivery (OVD).
Methods: This retrospective unicentric study (Lille, France) included all cases of OVD of singleton pregnancies from March 2019 to October 2020, with cephalic presentation and > 37 weeks of gestation, for which intrapartum sonography was performed. A multiclass-penalized logistic regression model was used to develop the SD prognostic score, with missing values imputed by multiple imputations.

Objective: To compare the methods of performing scalp sampling before and after training teams in per partum monitoring.
Materials And Methods: This was a single center (Lille, France), retrospective, before and after study comparing the period 2017-2018 before training and the period 2019-2020 after training. It consisted of 1/theoretical training with courses on fetal physiology, recognition of risk factors for fetal hypoxia and pathophysiology of fetal acidosis; 2/practical training with analysis of local clinical cases; 3/real-life scenarios within the simulation platform.
Objectives: To easily detect frailty in a timely fashion, enabling targeted interventions and appropriate monitoring, will be a major worldwide public health and economic challenge as the proportion of older people increases in the population. Based on a review and meta-analysis showing that C-reactive protein (CRP), haemoglobin, albumin and vitamin D are associated with frailty, we aimed to develop and validate a biological score using these biomarkers for the detection of frailty.
Design: We conducted a retrospective, cross-sectional, monocentric study using the electronic healthcare database of Lille University Hospital, France.

Background: Deleterious indoor environment is a risk factor for poor asthma control in children.
Objective: We assessed the association between exposure to moisture and/or mold (EMM) and asthma control in children.
Methods: The CHAMPIASTHMA study is a multicenter cross-sectional observational study.
Although rhinoviruses play a major role in exacerbations of childhood asthma, the presence of rhinovirus (RV) RNA in plasma, referred to as viremia, has been investigated in a few studies. The aim of the study was to investigate the presence of rhinovirus viremia at the time of asthma exacerbation and to describe the molecular characteristics of rhinoviruses associated with viremia. We conducted an observational, prospective, multicenter study in eight pediatric hospitals (VIRASTHMA2).

A better understanding of their early determinants would allow for better prevention. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of nutritional and activity-related characteristics during adolescence on young adult cardiovascular risk factors.

Background: Labor induction of women with a history of uterine scarring is an increasingly frequent situation and one for which there are currently no clear professional recommendations favoring one method over another. The objectives of this study were to determine the success rate of balloon catheter induction in women with a history of caesarean section and to evaluate the main factors associated with vaginal delivery.
Materials And Methods: This single-center retrospective study was conducted between January 1, 2014, and December 31, 2018, in Lille, France, and included all women with one previous caesarean section who were induced by first-line balloon catheter induction.

Background: Long-term anticoagulant therapy is generally recommended for thrombotic antiphospholipid syndrome (TAPS) patients, however it may be withdrawn or not introduced in routine practice.
Objectives: To prospectively evaluate the risk of thrombosis recurrence and major bleeding in non-anticoagulated TAPS patients, compared to anticoagulated TAPS, and secondly, to identify different features between those two groups.
Patients/methods: Using an international registry, we identified non-anticoagulated TAPS patients at baseline, and matched them with anticoagulated TAPS patients based on gender, age, type of previous thrombosis, and associated autoimmune disease.

Background: Although delayed cord clamping has well-known benefits for preterm and term neonates, it has been inadequately assessed in alloimmunized neonates.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the benefits and risks of delayed cord clamping in alloimmunized neonates.
Study Design: This was a retrospective comparative pre-post cohort study conducted from 2003 to 2018 in a tertiary care center in France.
Objectives: To evaluate whether inflammatory and complement biomarkers are associated with specific characteristics of antiphospholipid syndrome (APS).
Methods: Serum levels of interleukin (IL)-1β (IL-1β), IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, tumour necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interferon-α (IFN)-α, IFN-γ, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM-1), E-selectin, and vascular cell adhesion molecule (VCAM)-1, and plasma levels of soluble C5b-9 (sC5b-9), C3a, C4a, Bb fragment were measured in unselected APS patients. Twenty-five healthy blood donors were included as controls.
Background: Allogeneic islet transplantation is a validated therapy in type 1 diabetes; however, there is decline of transplanted islet graft function over time and the mechanisms underlying this decline are unclear. We evaluated the distinct association between primary graft function (PGF) and 5-year islet transplantation outcomes.
Methods: In this retrospective, multicentre, observational cohort study, we enrolled all patients from the Collaborative Islet Transplant Registry who received islet transplantation alone (ITA recipients) or islet-after-kidney transplantation (IAK recipients) between Jan 19, 1999, and July 17, 2020, with a calculable PGF (exposure of interest), measured 28 days after last islet infusion with a validated composite index of islet graft function (BETA-2 score).
Physical activity (PA) is recognized as a marker of health. The aim was to investigate PA differences from adolescence to young adulthood. European adolescents included in the HELENA study were invited to participate in a follow-up study, 10 years later.

Objective: To evaluate our clinical practices since the implementation of different tools to reduce the use of pH in utero (pHiu) in the delivery room.
Methods: A single-centre retrospective study was conducted in our university maternity hospital of Lille from October 2016 to March 2021. All patients in labour with a vaginal delivery agreement, a fetus in cephalic presentation and no contraindication to perform a pHiu were included.
Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) is associated with pulmonary hypoplasia and respiratory morbidity. To assess whether respiratory morbidity during the first 2 years of life in infants with left-sided CDH is associated with fetal lung volume (FLV) evaluated by the observed-to-expected FLV ratio (o/e FLV) on antenatal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). In this retrospective study, o/e FLV measures were collected.

Objective: COVID-19 outcome may be less favourable in patients with inflammatory rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMD) receiving immunosuppressive therapy. We aimed to investigate whether RMD patients on anti-IL6 therapy prior to SARS-CoV-2 infection have less severe disease and better outcomes of COVID-19.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective national, multicentre cohort study using data from the French RMD COVID-19 cohort.
Background: Acute geriatric units (AGUs) require efficient discharge planning tools. Risk factors for discharge from an AGU to post-acute care (PAC) have not previously been investigated in detail.
Methods: The objective is to identify risk factors for PAC transfer.
