Aim: To explore the implementation pathway and effectiveness of medical social workers and nurses in humanistic care nursing and to evaluate the impact of this collaborative model on patient satisfaction and healthcare resource utilization efficiency in cardiovascular wards.

Methods: This study adopted a quasi-experimental pre- and post-test design to implement humanistic care intervention in the cardiovascular ward of a tertiary care hospital in Zhuhai, China, from September to November 2023. A collaborative team consisting of two medical social workers and four charge nurses, based on the three-stage service process of "pre-hospital assessment-hospital care-discharge follow-up", systematically provided four core humanistic care services of "case management, group support, humanistic environment creation, and social resource connection".

Background: Previous work has shown that optic nerve and sciatic nerve conditional medium had neurotrophic activity on neurons. In order to find if the optic nerve conditioned media (CM) had a similar activity to make PC12 cells differentiate as sciatic nerve CM did, we explored the neurotrophic activity in optic nerve CM in the same in vitro system and compared the neurotrophin expression levels in optic and sciatic nerves under both conditions.

Methods: PC12 cells were used to examine the effects of neurotrophins secreted by the sciatic nerve and optic nerve.

Peripheral nerve impairment is a common complication in surgery, which repair relates directly to the recovery of motor function and sensory function. Clinical researchers always do nerve sutrure using microsurgical technique and adjuvant treatment to improve peripheral nerve regeneration. Western medicine used usually of adjuvant drugs, such as neurotrophic factors, are limited by their defects in clinical application.

Neural stem cells (NSCs) were widely used for studying the cell's replacement after transplantation in nervous system because of its specific characteristics. However, Stracing the cells after transplantation was still a problem. In the present study, we isolated and cultured the neural stem cells from the C57BL/6J EGFP transgenic mouse (EGFP mice), and identified the capacity for self-renewal and differentiation into the three CNS lineages (neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes).
