"Motion Capture Suit Sign" for Immunotherapy-Induced Inflammatory Arthritis on 99mTc-MDP Bone Scintigraphy.

We report the 99mTc-MDP bone scan of a 44-year-old man with a history of lung adenocarcinoma and recent multiple joint pain after completing pembrolizumab immunotherapy treatment. This interesting image of symmetric uptakes around bilateral joints throughout the skeleton resembles the ball sensors on a motion capture suit. Hence, we recommend naming this distinctive imaging appearance as the "motion capture suit" sign.

Background: The retinae of treeshrew have never been evaluated by scanning electron microscopic studies.

Materials And Methods: This work described the visual cells in the photoreceptor layer of the retinae of treeshrew (Tupaia belangeri chinensis) living on the high plateau of Yunnan, China, via scanning electron microscopy.

Results: Results indicated five morphologically different types of cones, two of which contain oil droplets in their inner segments.

Comparative Review of Effects of Pien Tze Huang and AnGong NiuHuang Pill and their Potential on Treatment of Central Nervous System Diseases.

The ancient composite formulae Angong Niuhuang pill and Pien Tze Huang, which were used a few hundred years ago to treat febrile disease and inflammation, respectively, are found to exert effects benefiting other neurological diseases and conditions. This short review introduces the main constituents of the two formulae, looking into both the cumulative synergetic and possible individual effects of each herb or animal apcoien. In essence, the main effects of Angong Niuhuang pill include anti-inflammation, antioxidation, anti-cell death, anticonvulsion, antiedema, antipyretic, antithrombotic, antimicrobial (bacteria, viruses, fungi), neuroprotective effects, and cardiovascular protection.

Reaction of the Liver upon Long-Term Treatment of Fluoxetine and Atorvastatin Compared with Alcohol in a Mouse Model.

Background: Alcoholism is known to cause liver toxicity and is extensively researched. On the other hand, stress, depression, and obesity are interrelated conditions with alcoholism, and their medications would affect the liver itself. In this study, we investigated the effects of the drugs fluoxetine and atorvastatin on the liver and compared with those of alcohol in a mouse model.

Broad spectrum antimicrobial PDMS-based biomaterial for catheter fabrication.

Background: In addition to the widespread use of antibiotics in healthcare settings, the current COVID-19 pandemic has escalated the emergence of antibiotic resistance. Nosocomial infections among hospitalized patients is a leading site for such resistant microbial colonization due to prolonged use of invasive devices and antibiotics in therapies. Invasive medical devices, especially catheters, are prone to infections that could accelerate the development of resistant microbes.
