Evidence for Similar Collectivity of High Transverse-Momentum Particles in p-Pb and Pb-Pb Collisions.

Charged hadron elliptic anisotropies (v_{2}) are presented over a wide transverse momentum (p_{T}) range for proton-lead (pPb) and lead-lead (PbPb) collisions at nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energies of 8.16 and 5.02 TeV, respectively.

Fleas of wild mammals carrying pathogenic bacteria in Argentinian Patagonia: A study based on wildlife roadkill.

Fleas (Insecta: Siphonaptera) are recognised vectors of bacteria that affect human and other animal health, whose reservoirs are in the majority mammals. Among these, some species of the genera Rickettsia (Rickettsiales: Rickettsiaceae) and Bartonella (Rhizobiales: Bartonellaceae) are emerging and re-emerging throughout the world; however, their circulation across vast regions of Argentina and numerous animal species, particularly wild species remains largely unknown. The study of wild animal roadkill provides valuable insights into parasitic associations and the presence of pathogenic microorganisms, allowing the generation of a health alert in certain ecosystems.

Maneuvering investigation of theoretical and experimental parameters for Al-doped Cu (In, Ga) Se thin film solar cells with and without a back surface field layer.

Aluminum-doped copper indium gallium selenide/sulfide (CIGAS) is a favorable absorber material for solar cell applications; however, the number of reports on CIGAS solar cells currently remains limited. In this study, we therefore employed SCAPS-1D software for the theoretical modeling of CIGAS thin film solar cells and investigated the effect of material properties and device configurations on solar cell photovoltaic (PV) parameters. Initially, key parameters such as thickness and charge carrier concentrations of each layer used in CIGAS PV devices were studied and optimized to obtain suitable conditions for high device performance.

The Caribbean American Dementia and Aging Study: protocol for a population-based study of older adult health and dementia in Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico.

Background: The Hispanic Caribbean region is rapidly aging but national population-based aging surveys are rare. The Caribbean American Dementia and Aging Study (CADAS) is a multi-purpose household study of aging with a particular focus on the life course determinants and consequences of health and dementia in three countries with many similarities but divergent recent histories: Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Cuba.

Methods: CADAS will survey population-based samples of adults ages 65 and over.

Search for a Neutral Gauge Boson with Nonuniversal Fermion Couplings in Vector Boson Fusion Processes in Proton-Proton Collisions at sqrt[s]=13 TeV.

The first search for a heavy neutral spin-1 gauge boson (Z^{'}) with nonuniversal fermion couplings produced via vector boson fusion processes and decaying to tau leptons or W bosons is presented. The analysis is performed using LHC data at sqrt[s]=13  TeV, collected from 2016 to 2018 with the CMS experiment and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138  fb^{-1}. The data are consistent with the standard model predictions.
