CAR-T for Lung Cancers: Challenges and Innovations.

Lung cancer (LC) is the leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide. Despite current therapies, including surgery, radiotherapy, targeted therapies, and immunotherapy, most patients experience relapse. Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have revolutionized LC treatment, but only a subset of patients benefit from them.

Rehabilitation of facial nerve palsy combining neuromuscular retraining and botulinum toxin A injection: a tertiary referral centre experience and a new working protocol proposal.

Purpose: Neuromuscular retraining (NMR) is the primary treatment for synkinesis in facial nerve palsy (FNP) patients, with botulinum toxin type A (BTX-A) enhancing rehabilitation outcomes. This study aims to assess the functional outcomes of combining BTX-A infiltration and NMR in treating synkinesis in peripheral FNP patients.

Materials And Methods: This retrospective study, conducted at the University Hospital of Modena (2020-2023), included patients with chronic peripheral FNP treated with NMR and at least two BTX-A injections for synkinesis.

Pharmacological treatment of neuropsychiatric symptoms of dementia: a network meta-analysis.

Background: Pharmacological treatments are very common to be used for alleviating neuropsychiatric symptoms (NPS) in dementia. However, decision on drug selection is still a matter of controversy.

Aims: To summarise the comparative efficacy and acceptability of currently available monotherapy drug regimens for reducing NPS in dementia.
