This review of Luxembourg's health system analyses the country's health organization and governance, financing, health care provision, recent developments and reforms, as well as the system's performance. Luxembourg's statutory health insurance system ensures a comprehensive benefits basket for a large share of the population. Although health care accessibility is high in Luxembourg, administrative considerations, such as the requirement to possess an official address or the lack of automatic third-party payment mechanisms for several services, still constitute significant barriers for vulnerable populations to access care.

Background: Technology-mediated medication adherence interventions have proven useful, yet implementation in clinical practice is low. The European Network to Advance Best Practices and Technology on Medication Adherence (ENABLE) European Cooperation in Science and Technology Action (CA19132) online repository of medication adherence technologies (MATechs) aims to provide an open access, searchable knowledge management platform to facilitate innovation and support medication adherence management across health systems. To provide a solid foundation for optimal use and collaboration, the repository requires a shared interdisciplinary terminology.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFMedication adherence is a key precondition of the effectiveness of evidence-based therapies. However, in real-life settings, non-adherence to medication is still very common. This leads to profound health and economic consequences at both individual and public health levels.

In order for eHealth technologies to be successfully implemented into the healthcare system, end-users need to be willing and accepting to use these eHealth technologies.

Developing a repository is among the main objectives of the European Network to Advance Best practices and technoLogy on medication adherencE (ENABLE) COST Action (CA19132). However, meeting the needs of diverse stakeholders requires careful consideration of the repository structure.

Despite these potential benefits, PPI is rarely included in epidemiology protocols.
Objective: The aim of this study is to provide an overview of methods used for PPI and offer practical recommendations for its efficient implementation in epidemiological research.
Given the rapid increase in the incidence of cardiometabolic conditions, there is an urgent need for better approaches to prevent as many cases as possible and move from a one-size-fits-all approach to a precision cardiometabolic prevention strategy in the general population. We used data from ORISCAV-LUX 2, a nationwide, cross-sectional, population-based study. On the 1356 participants, we used a machine learning semi-supervised cluster method guided by body mass index (BMI) and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), and a set of 29 cardiometabolic variables, to identify subgroups of interest for cardiometabolic health.

Objectives: Digital health interventions (DHIs) are interesting resources to improve various health conditions. However, their use in the older and frail population is still sparse. We aimed to give an overview of DHI used in the frail older population.

However, the amount of PA required for weight loss remains inconsistent. Wearable activity trackers constitute a valuable opportunity to obtain objective measurements of PA and study large populations in real-life settings.
