Objective: This study evaluated healthcare workers' occupational exposure to inhaled drugs during drug reconstitution and handling tasks, focusing on compliance with occupational exposure limits (OELs).
Methods: Ten nurses and pharmacy technicians were monitored during an 8-hour shift to measure inhalable particle concentrations using a portable sampling device.
Results: Inhalable particle concentrations ranged from <15 to 381 μg/m 3 (arithmetic mean 83 μg/m 3 ).
Objectives: An analytical protocol based on isotope dilution liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (ID-LC-MS/MS), which includes a peptide-based calibration strategy, was developed and validated for the determination of cardiac troponin I (cTnI) levels in clinical samples. Additionally, the developed method was compared with a protein-based calibration strategy, using cTnI serving as a model for low-abundant proteins. The aim is to evaluate new approaches for protein quantification in complex matrices, supporting the metrology community in implementing new methods and developing fit-for-purpose SI- traceable peptide or protein primary calibrators.

The focus of this research was to evaluate the impact of these factors on the stability of 17 synthetic cannabinoids (SCs) in human whole blood and 10 associated metabolites in human urine. The fortified biological specimens were stored under room temperature (20°C), refrigerator (4°C) and freezer (-20°C) conditions for a period of 52 weeks.
