To develop efficient catalysts for ambient carbon monoxide (CO) oxidation is significant for indoor air purification and also for many industrial applications. In this work, the catalytic activity for CO oxidation were enhanced by tuning the metal-support interaction of Ru/CeO catalysts. A series of Ru/CeO catalysts were synthesized by an impregnation method with calcination at 100, 200, 400 and 600 °C, respectively, to regulate the Ru-CeO interaction.

Here, we analyzed 236 pigs, focusing on Yunnan indigenous, European commercial, East Asian, and Southeast Asian breeds, using the Pig Genomics Reference Panel (PGRP v1) of Pig Genotype-Tissue Expression (PigGTEx) to investigate gene flow and associated complex traits by integrating multiple database resources. In this study, we discovered evidence of admixtures from European pigs into the genome of Yunnan indigenous pigs.

Monoatomic dispersion of precious metals on the surface of CeO nanocrystals is a highly practical approach for dramatically reducing the usage of precious metals while exploiting the unique properties of single-atom catalysts. However, the specific atomic sites for anchoring precious metal atoms on the CeO support and underlying chemical mechanism remain partially unknown. Herein, we show that the terminal hydroxyls on the (100) surface are the most stable sites for anchoring Ag atoms on CeO , indicating that CeO nanocubes are the most efficient substrates to achieve monoatomic dispersion of Ag.
