Nitrogen oxides (NOx) are one of the growing air pollutants in industrial countries, and their emissions are regulated by stringent legislation. Therefore, the design of the catalyst comprised of metal oxides and ZIFs a potential solution for improving selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx. Here, an efficient strategy was described to fabricate Co-ZIF/WO heterostructures for SCR of NOx.

This study was aimed to investigate the synergistic effect of sulfite reducing agent on the UV/hematite (α-FeO) photocatalytic process performance in the removal of ciprofloxacin from the aqueous solutions. For this purpose, influence of the operation parameters including initial antibiotic concentration, pH, sulfite to hematite molar ratio and the reaction time on the UV/hematite/sulfite (UHS) performance was evaluated. UV alone, UV/hematite (α-FeO) (UH) and UV/sulfite (US) processes indicated to have little influence on the ciprofloxacin degradation.

A novel strategy was described to fabricate hematite-MOF materials with morphologies (core-shell) and (composite) as an efficient peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activator for degrading ciprofloxacin (CIP) antibiotics. First, α-FeO nanoparticles (NPs) with a size distribution range of 80 nm were prepared by surfactant-assisted reflux method. Then, cobalt-based metal-organic framework (ZIF-67) was grown onto the α-FeO NPs with ultrasonic and solvothermal method, which can control the nanostructures morphology.

This study investigates the concentrations of PM-bound PAHs and their seasonal variations in three cities of Ahvaz, Abadan, and Asaluyeh in Iran. The mean concentrations of PM in two warm and cold seasons in Ahvaz were higher and in Abadan and Assaluyeh were lower than the national standard of Iran and the guidelines of the World Health Organization. The Σ16 PAHs concentration in ambient air PM during the cold season in Ahvaz, Abadan and Asaluyeh was 244.

The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between PM and NO pollutants and oxidative stress marker (8-isoprostane) and lung function tests (FVC and FEV) in healthy children who were living and studying in three different areas of Ahvaz city including A: Naderi site with high traffic, A: Alavi Alley site with average traffic, and A: Ein 2 site with low traffic (a rural area on the suburb of Ahvaz). 30 students in the 12-13 year-old range were selected from each studied zone (1, 2 and 3 sites) during three months of year. Of each student, one sample was taken every two weeks to measure 8-isoprostane of exhaled breath condensate (EBC).

According to studies, high concentration of fluoride in drinking water has adverse health effects such as dental and skeletal fluorosis. This data analyzes the concentrations and health risks of fluoride in 30 drinking water samples collected from 11 villages of the Khash city, Sistan and Baluchistan province in Iran. Fluoride concentration was measured using SPADNS method according to the standard method for examination of water and wastewater.

In this article the data of the groundwater quality of Aras catchment area were investigated for estimating the sodium absorption ratio (SAR) in the years 2010-2014. The artificial neural network (ANN) is defined as a system of processor elements, called neurons, which create a network by a set of weights. In the present data article, a 3-layer MLP neural network including a hidden layer, an input layer and an output layer had been designed.

Dust storm in Khuzestan region is strongly influenced by transportation and influx of large amount of particulate matter from internal sources (Hawizeh Marshes and East Ahwaz) and external sources (the Arabian Desert in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria and the Sahara Desert). Particulate matter is one of the main components of indoor and outdoor air quality that can be very dangerous for human. The principal objective of this study was the pinpoint of the source of airborne particulate matter by the NOAA HYSPLIT model in Ahvaz City, southwest of Iran.

The human body is primarily water and healthy drinking water is vital to human life. Today, the bottled-water industry has been widely developed in most countries and more than 150 several brands of bottled water are produced in Iran. Considering the increasing consumption of bottled water and its potential for contamination with harmful chemical and microbial agents such as nitrate, the aim of this study was to assess the nitrate concentration and also the microbial quality of bottled water in a number of brands produced in the Torbat-e Heydarieh city in 2017.

This data article aimed to investigate the quality of drinking water of Qorveh and Dehgolan Counties in Kurdistan province based on the water quality index (WQI) and agricultural quality index based on RSC, PI, KR, MH, Na, SAR and SSP indices. Also, Piper diagram was used to determine hydro chemical features of the groundwater area. The calculation of WQI for groundwater samples indicated that 36% of the samples could be considered as excellent water and 64% of the samples were classified as good water category.
