Background: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) is the current gold standard for the management of acute cholecystitis, where ultrasonic dissection and electrocautery dissection are the two primary techniques used, however, it remains uncertain which approach is safer and more effective.
Objectives: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to compare the clinical outcomes of ultrasonic dissection versus electrocautery dissection in LC for acute cholecystitis, particularly in operative time, hospital stay, blood loss, intraoperative and postoperative complications.
Method: A systematic literature search was conducted in PubMed (MEDLINE), Scopus, Web of Science (WOS), EMBASE, and Cochrane CENTRAL up to January 7, 2025, following PRISMA guidelines.
Background: Laparoscopic appendectomy is now the gold-standard treatment for acute appendicitis, requiring three ports for a classic procedure. Recent laparoscopy improvements aim to minimize surgical trauma and improve cosmetic quality through smaller, fewer portal incisions, such as two-port laparoscopic appendectomy, resulting in reduced postoperative pain. We aimed in this study to describe a novel technique to facilitate two-port laparoscopic appendectomy using the endoscopic snare.

Factors affecting this process are pH, presence of humic acid, and δ-alumina concentrations as an abundant sediment/soil components. Different species of both vanadium and surface of δ-alumina were deduced theoretically using MintaqA2 programme.

It is essential to evaluate and quantify the extent of gamma-ray exposure resulting from the presence of primordial radionuclides. This necessity arises from human activities that extract and retrieve raw materials in uranium and thorium mining operations.

Epithelium height significantly increased in the ampulla and decreased in the isthmus passing from the GP to the MP. Under SEM, non-ciliated cells displayed apical blebs (secretory) or short microvilli.

Bagasse pith (BP) has been utilized for activated carbon preparation using H(3)PO(4) (BPH) or KOH (BPK) as a chemical activating agent followed by carbonization at 500 degrees C. The physicochemical properties of activated carbon were carried out. The effectiveness of carbon prepared in adsorption of Rhodamine B (RhB) has been studied as a function of adsorbent type, pH, particle size, agitation time, temperature, initial dye concentration, and desorption.
