Objective: To describe national trends, predictors, insurance, and patient costs associated with sedation use during prostate biopsies.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study using the Merative Marketscan Database from 2016 to 2021. Men undergoing prostate biopsy were identified using CPT codes.
Introduction: The aim of this study was to describe national trends in the use of penile prosthesis implantation (PPI) after radical prostatectomy, median time to implantation postoperatively, and the predictors of implantation in the United States.
Methods: The MarketScan Commercial and Medicare Claims Database was used to identify men who underwent radical prostatectomy between January 2012 and December 2021. Included participants were analyzed for postoperative PPI.
Objectives: Surgical site infections (SSIs) are the most common hospital-acquired infections in the United States, of which methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureu s (MRSA) accounts for 43%. Preoperative povidone-iodine nasal swab (PNS) is considered an effective and cost-saving treatment for Staphylococcus aureu s decolonization. We aim to assess the impact of preoperative PNS on SSI incidence.

Chondromas are benign mesenchymal tumors characterized by a slow-paced growth, primarily originated in the cricoid cartilage, followed by the thyroid, arytenoid, and epiglottic cartilages. This scoping review aims to understand the extent of evidence on the epidemiology, clinical characteristics, morbidity, and recurrence of the laryngeal chondroma (LC).
