Background: Despite the increased lymphoma burden in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and poor prognostic factors in patients from KSA, limited data exist regarding the characteristics and outcomes of peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL) patients. The present retrospective analysis evaluated the characteristics, treatment patterns, and survival outcomes of patients with PTCL in KSA.

Methods: The present retrospective chart review retrieved the data of patients with PTCL (aged ≥ 14 years) from two KSA centers.

Objective: This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the impact of cannabinoid (CB) receptor modulation on infarct volume and behavioral deficits in animal models of focal ischemic stroke, with a primary focus on infarct outcomes.

Method: A comprehensive literature search was conducted following Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, yielding 29 eligible studies for inclusion.

Results: The analysis revealed significant reductions in infarct volume with CB agonists, particularly CB1 and CB2 agonists, indicating their potential as neuroprotective agents.

The Efficacy of Post-Exposure Prophylaxis in Infants Born to HBsAg-Positive Mothers: A Single Center Experience in Saudi Arabia.

Post exposure prophylaxis (PEP) with the hepatitis B vaccine (HBVac) in combination with HBV immunoglobulins (HBIG) significantly minimizes the odds of vertical transmission of HBV to newborn infants. In this retrospective study, we aimed to evaluate the compliance and efficacy of PEP in a tertiary care center in Saudi Arabia. Infants were tested with HBV serological markers at 7 months of age to assess their PEP protection rate.

Tutor assessment of medical students in problem-based learning sessions.

Background: Problem-based learning (PBL) is a method of learning that has been adopted in different curricula of different disciplines for more than 30 years; the assessment of the students in PBL sessions in medical schools is fundamental to ensure students' attainment of the expected outcomes of conducting PBL sessions and in providing the students with the feedback that help them to develop and encourage their learning. Combination of palbociclib with adjuvant endocrine therapy for treatment of hormone receptor-positive and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative metastatic breast cancer: An experience at two cancer centers in Saudi Arabia.

The addition of palbociclib (a cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6 inhibitor) to endocrine therapy (ET) has been shown to significantly improve progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) among patients with hormone receptor-positive (HR) advanced breast cancer. The Risk of Developing Lymphoma among Autoimmune Thyroid Disorder Patients: A Cross-Section Study.
