Context: Data on diagnostic accuracy of dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEA-S) for mild autonomous cortisol secretion (MACS) and adrenal insufficiency (AI) are discrepant.
Objective: We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of published studies assessing the accuracy of DHEA-S in diagnosing MACS or AI.
Methods: From inception to January 8, 2024, we searched databases for original studies of at least 20 participants with MACS or AI.

B complex vitamins, a group of eight water-soluble vitamins, play interconnected roles in maintaining nervous system health. Thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), and niacin (B3) are essential as co-enzymes in numerous metabolic reactions related to energy production. Thiamine is involved in the Krebs cycle, riboflavin in the electron transport chain, and niacin plays a key role in both glycolysis and the Krebs cycle.

The generalization ability of foundation models in the field of computational pathology (CPath) is crucial for their clinical success. However, current foundation models have only been evaluated on a limited type and number of tasks, leaving their generalization ability unclear. We establish a comprehensive benchmark to evaluate the performance of off-the-shelf foundation models across six distinct clinical task types, encompassing a total of 72 specific tasks.

Studies have shown that short POEM is non-inferior to long POEM, with some evidence of decreased incidence of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). This meta-analysis aims to systematically review and analyze randomized controlled trials (RCTs) data comparing clinical and safety outcomes for long and short POEM procedures while further investigating differences in GERD and other long-term clinical outcomes.
