Background: Response to immune checkpoint inhibition (ICI) in sarcomas is overall low and heterogeneous. Understanding determinants of ICI outcomes may improve efficacy and patient selection. Thus, we investigated whether the expression of transposable elements (TEs), which are epigenetically silenced and can stimulate antitumor immunity, influence ICI outcomes and immune infiltrates in common sarcoma subtypes.

Procedure: We retrospectively analyzed the records of patients treated with trametinib either at relapse or as front-line therapy between 2020 and 2024.
Background: Research productivity, education, and clinical performance have become increasingly central to faculty promotion decisions in orthopaedic surgery. The Hirsch index (h-index) has emerged as an objective tool for quantifying academic impact, but its relationship with academic rank in orthopaedic surgery remains incompletely understood.
Methods: We analyzed faculty data from the top 50 academic orthopaedic surgery programs ranked by Doximity.
The first search for a heavy neutral spin-1 gauge boson (Z^{'}) with nonuniversal fermion couplings produced via vector boson fusion processes and decaying to tau leptons or W bosons is presented. The analysis is performed using LHC data at sqrt[s]=13 TeV, collected from 2016 to 2018 with the CMS experiment and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 138 fb^{-1}. The data are consistent with the standard model predictions.
