Introduction/objective: Emotional, mental, or psychological distress, defined as increased symptoms of depression, anxiety, and/or stress, is common in patients with chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular (CV) disease (CVD).
Methods: Literature was reviewed regarding data from studies and meta-analyses examining the impact of emotional stress on the occurrence and outcome of several CVDs (coronary disease, heart failure, hypertension, arrhythmias, stroke). These influences' pathophysiology and clinical spectrum are detailed, tabulated, and pictorially illustrated.

Background: Due to pre-existing difficulties, refugees are especially susceptible to the negative effects of the pandemic; nonetheless, the pandemic's effect on this group is still unclear. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of Palestine refugees in Gaza by identifying the role of social determinants. 5-azacytidine (5-AZA) is considered the standard of care for patients with high-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) not candidate for intensive chemotherapy. However, even after an initial favorable response, almost all patients relapse, with the exact mechanisms underlying primary or secondary 5-AZA resistance remaining largely unknown. Several reports have previously demonstrated the significance of hypoxia in the regulation of both physiological and malignant hematopoiesis.

Objectives: Models for the attribution of neuropsychiatric manifestations to systemic lupus erythematosus (NPSLE) that incorporate timing and type of manifestation, exclusion/confounding or favouring factors have been proposed. We tested their diagnostic performance against expert physician judgment.
Methods: SLE patients with neuropsychiatric manifestations were identified through retrospective chart review.

Objectives: To estimate the impact of vaccinations, infections and traumatic life events on the disease activity of a web-based cohort of systemic necrotising vasculitis (SNV) patients.
Methods: Adults diagnosed with SNV self-reported vaccinations, infectious episodes and traumatic life events every 3 months during follow-up on a secure dedicated website. Participants reported information on disease activity assessed with 3 scores: the French version of the Medical Outcome Study Short Form-36 (SF-36), the visual numerical scale for Patient Global Assessment (PGA) and the modified Disease Extent Index (mDEI).

Autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation (auto-PBSCT) after high dose chemotherapy is usually offered to breast cancer patients carrying a high risk of relapse or having chemosensitive metastatic disease. Whether progression free and overall survival of such patients is improved after auto-PBSCT compared to conventional chemotherapy is a matter of debate. Currently available results of randomised trials could not uniformly prove or disprove auto-PBSCT being advantageous.

The responses of primary site are evaluated on the changes of tumor size by imaging diagnosis, and the uniformity and objectivity of response representation due to the sort of lesion cause the problems, so for studies are carrying out in many cases. Furthermore, response rate, survival time and quality of life were discussed in relation to clinical studies how to manage it at present and the problems in future referred.
